On arrival I let the host know I am coeliac, they said no problem and gave me a ‘gluten free’ menu. When I was seated the server asked if I was gluten free by choice or coeliac, they then told me the gluten free menu wasn’t suitable for me and handed the allergen bible instead. I think there was a choice of two options, chicken or lamb (no sauce), plain veg and plain rice which didn’t list gluten as an allergen. I was gutted as I’d been so looking forward to it, my friends rave about this place. Ultimately I had an excellent (but rather plain and very restricted) meal but it was torture watching my mates have all the starters and curries I’d been looking forward to trying.
