We loved the flavors at this place - great food, reasonable prices, casual atmosphere. Lots of plantain based dishes. Cuban food. Avoid anything in the shared fryer - including the taro chips.
This is one of my favorite safe spots in the city. They are a little whole in the wall restaurant serving Cuban and Puerto Rican food. It’s really fun to go when they have live music, but it does get packed. Food and music are always amazing. I have never gotten sick from here. I steer clear of fried things, but I always get shrimp mofongo as an appetizer (it’s made with plantains so safe). I have one of the shrimp or beef plates as my dinner and they’ve got plenty of good drinks as well. The flan is safe for dessert.
