The manager here is very serious about understanding and accommodating celiac disease and gluten intolerance. I have eaten here multiple times, as have my extremely sensitive family members, and we’ve had no issues. Here are the details: 1. I immediately ask for the manager when I arrive, greet him cheerfully, remind him who I am, and ask him to ensure my safety in his restaurant today. He is now guarding my food. 2. Shared fryer. Don’t bother ordering anything deep fried, including chips. He’ll offer to oven bake their house made corn tortillas for you. Thoughtful, but disgusting. 3. There’s no flour on the premises. Hooray! 4. They use the same press to heat corn and flour tortillas. For celiac, they line the press before using it. Once, I had cross contaminated tortillas delivered with my fajitas. They literally RAN to stop me from taking my first bite, and delivered me to only new tortillas, but another helping of fajita filling. 5. Their food is awesome. Go for dinner to get fresh tortillas straight off the grill where an abuelita is making them at the front of the restaurant. This is on no way an “I only eat here because I am gfree “ restaurant. It’s good for eating with your non gfree friends.
