So good! GF items are marked. This is a really cute restaurant with a nice wine list and full bar. We had the fried gree tomatoes, alligator sausage, crab cakes and the shrimp and grits. It was all wonderful. I would definitely go back. Lots of gf options. I have celiac and it was all good.

Amazing food! Knowledgeable about Celiac & very careful about cross contact. Dedicated frier. We had crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, & the corn fried local seafood platter We asked for dairy free because they use buttermilk. They were accommodating & it was all tasty! Well worth the $$.

Always delicious!!! The corn fried local seafood entree is my favorite. It comes with catfish, shrimp, oysters, and shoestring fries.

Great food, well seasoned and tasteful. My daughter and I are gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy intolerant. Plus my daughter can't tolerate onions. She and my son had the Shrimp and grits, they prepared here's without onions. The server Todd is they have separate fryers, grills and workstations for gluten free needs. They also have gluten free desserts. We felt fine after the meal.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Wide variety of offerings in apps, desserts, sides, and entrees that are all marked as gluten free! Be sure to let your server know that you have celiac and may require extra precaution outside of just gluten free ingredients. I highly recommend any fish they do and the fried green tomatoes!!!!

CELIAC REVIEW I will definitely be coming back to Eliza! My parents surprised me with going here for my birthday dinner this past weekend. Everything was phenomenal. You must have a reservation (at least on the weekends) since it is such a small restaurant. I was blown away by how much of their food is prepared gluten free! I was able to order fried green tomatoes and fried fish strips (super crunchy and good batter!) as appetizers. For my entree, I ordered the crab cakes. I wasn't expecting them to be deep fried, but they were so good. And FULL of crab meat. Came with fries and corn hash. It is so nice to be able to go to a restaurant, have wait staff be knowledgeable about gluten allergies and cross contamination, and not have to worry! I will definitely be adding Eliza to my regular list!!

This restaurant really caters to the gluten free diner. Everything is marked if it is gluten free and many of the offerings can be made gluten free upon request. I have not had crab cakes in a very long time because they usually have regular bread crumbs as a binder. I had the most delicious crab cakes and couldn’t tell they were gluten free. Their shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes are gluten free and to die for. They always have yummy gluten free desserts. I go there every time I am in Baron Rouge. Make a reservation as it is a small restaurant and is full almost every night.

Eliza was amazing! My son and I both have Celiac Disease. The server was very knowledgeable about what was gluten free on the menu and she said that even if it’s not marked gluten free that it could be made gluten free. I had the crab cakes that were probably the best I’ve ever had. And the fried pimento cheese balls which were amazing! My son had two orders of the catfish appetizer and an order of fries. I definitely recommend Eliza as a safe place to eat for someone with Celiac Disease.

Great staff. They were friendly and fast. The menu is marked for the gluten-free items and there is a lot from which to choose. They have a dedicated fryer and use corn flour to batter their fried foods. The food was delish! I had the fried seafood platter and it was wonderful! Crispy and abundant. I had a ton of leftovers. The food came to the table fast and piping hot. I would definitely recommend Elizas Restaurant.

Celiac seafood heaven: fried crab cakes, soft shell crab, oysters, catfish (portion was huge), shrimp, all fried in gluten free corn flour. Flourless chocolate cake was smooth and melt-in-your-mouth-delicious. Ask for whipped cream with it. We will be going there again and again!!

The crab cakes are about an inch thick and perfectly crusted. Fried green tomatoes with a thinner corn crust are equally wonderful. They had a good flourless cake we would have tried if we weren't stuffed from the wonderful lunch. Best gf meal we've had in baton rouge hands down.

This place made my heart so Happy! I have to be Dairy free as well as GF and often find that all the exciting GF choices have dairy. But this place rocked my world! Fries green tomatoes with THE most amazing remoulade! And crab cakes with remoulade, with a corn and bacon side and delicious thin french fries. It was the best meal I've had in a long time! I'm not celiac but I do have reactions and I didn't have any symptoms after eating here.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. I actually can’t have gluten or dairy and they double-checked with the chef that what I wanted would be safe. As a friend pointed out their drink menu “is on point.” Great!

The chef came out to talk with us and make sure she knew what our food sensitivities were. Their catfish and all fried food are made with gluten free bread crumbs. They also have a dedicated frier for their French fried.

This unsuspecting gem of a restaurant is tucked away at the end of a quiet shopping center slightly off the beaten path. Upon walking through the door you are warmly greeted by the charming host and any number of the attentive waitstaff. You quickly feel at home and realize you know this place. It is every trendy restaurant you have ever tried and fallen in love with. The menu is a symphony of creole and cajun with GF markers abound all indicated with a simple asterisk. No calling on managers or 20 questions with the server. To paraphrase Willy Wonka, it's all there, plain as day, clear as crystal. I ordered the fried seafood platter with catfish, oysters and shrimp all resting atop a mound of crispy French fries. I had finally found heaven and it was coated in gluten free batter. My Husband had the shrimp and grits which were also outstanding and GF. I can't wait to go back and try the seared yellowfin tuna and fall in love all over again.

Excellent restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Baton Rouge.

They did not have a Gluten Free Menu but the staff were all very knowledgeable about needing a GF meal due to an allergy.
