Gluten Intolerant

Although they have GF pizza marked on their menu, the server informed me that there is a high risk for cross-contamination and recommended against me getting pizza after I notified him of my gluten intolerance. I was grateful that the server was knowledgeable, but really disappointed that they state the pizza is GF when it is not really true. It certainly limits available options there- I think I ended up getting a salad, which was good and caused me no issues. I had really been in the mood for pizza, though, so it was a bummer!

I was nervous to come since review here are so poor but was coming for a friend’s birthday and know some people have had a safe experiences here and at other locations. The waitress seemed to know her stuff on celiac but it was a little tricky since her accent was so very thick. She said anything fried wasn’t safe so when my roasted chicken, Brussels and potatoes came and the potatoes appeared to have been roasted then fried I asked her and she said absolutely not, they weren’t fried. All at the table agreed that they looked fried. I decided to take off the top piece of chicken and eat only that. It was terrible, dry and flavorless. I couldn’t even swallow it. Sadly I won’t be back any time soon after my experience tonight.

Nima tested the flat iron, Brussels sprouts, and fingering potatoes and they had gluten. They tried to make it safe, but sadly I didn’t feel comfortable trying it. Menu says straws are made with wheat, but then they told me not anymore. Plus there is at least one typo on brand new (2/6/20) menus about whether something is gluten free.

Menu states which dishes are gluten free however the menu is printed incorrectly. Both my choices were in fact NOT gluten free but thankfully the kitchen crew knew enough to ask me to change my choices.

Staff is very friendly but advised me strongly that GF just means no gluten ingredients. Basically promised cross-contamination. I did not eat here, so I cannot rate the food — the single star is only about safety.
