Made a reservation with the notation of a GF person dining. When we arrived they asked who was GF and made them feel very welcome and that GF was no trouble. Pastas, pizzas and flour-free versions of popular sauces were offered. The service staff was old school first rate and the atmosphere was delightful. No strict celiac kitchen but good accommodation for my GF family member.

Gluten free options are not marked on menu but the prior reviews gave me confidence to try this restaurant. Nice waitstaff answered my questions and checked with the chef about gf items. I shared a gf Fresca pizza as an appetizer with my family who eat gluten. We agreed it was better than other gf pizzas. I had the Chicken Piccata with gluten free pasta and side salad. The pasta was better than other restaurants, good texture and not mushy. No desserts are gluten free.

Federico’s is a neighborhood spot for me, and I’ve only had great experiences there, with dine-in and takeout. I don’t know much about breadth of GF options on their menu, because I always get the same things. However in all my experiences, the hosts, servers, and kitchen all know what Celiac Disease is and take it seriously, and the food is delicious.
