This is not an allergy friendly restaurant. I ordered one of the omelets that came with greens and toast. I asked my server to substitute for the gluten free toast. She did not ask if it was for preference or allergy and proceeded to take the next order. I stopped her before she left the table and told her that I had a gluten allergy in hopes she would tell the kitchen. When my food arrived, I noticed that the bread (laying on top of the omelet and greens on the plate) did not look right so I asked the food runner if that was the gluten free bread. The runner responded no and said she would just bring me a piece of the gluten free and started to walk away. I stopped her and handed her my plate saying I had an allergy and needed the food remade as the bread had touched it. Less than 5 minutes later, she came back with my plate with the gluten free bread. I found it suspiciously fast that they could have remade my food in that time, but thought maybe they had another prepared they were just able to give me. I confirmed that it was remade with the server and was told yes it was. My body is telling me now, that it was not. I am very disappointed in my visit to First Watch.

After speaking with the manager I was more confident in this establishment. They took the time to clarify if I had an intolerance vs allergy vs celiac and made sure to provide me with all the knowledge they had.
Food was excellent! Make sure to clarify with staff. They put flour in their cheese to help keep it from sticking so any cheese is not GF, however, they were more than willing to accommodate this and omit the cheese for extra veggies!
Super cute breakfast place! I can’t wait to go back. Just make sure to clarify with the waiter, manager and chefs before eating anything. They made a small mistake on my order and promptly fixed it- no hassle at all!

To start off, I have been to First Watch many times with and without my family (who eat gluten-free), and every single time the staff has been accommodating and very friendly.
They have plenty of gluten-free breakfast options with foods that are inherently gluten-free (eggs, bacon, fruit, etc.). You can substitute any bread on the menu for gluten-free bread, including the french toast! They always ask if you have a gluten allergy to make sure the kitchen accommodates you.

I am bummed. Food was delicious but my stomach is paying bad. I told the server I was extremely allergic to gluten and she seemed understanding. I shouldn't have came here. ☹ it's things like this that make me never feel safe eating out. I know there is a warning with it being a chain but at other locations I haven't had a problem.

My daughter has Celiac and I’m gf. They prepare allergy meals in a separate area of the kitchen. She ordered gf French toast and it came out seperately and marked. Our server was very knowledgeable, but others there were not. It has now been a couple of hours since we went and my daughter and I both feel good with no signs of being glutened.

They are very considerate when I order gluten free bread for toast and inform them of my allergies. I'm sure other locations might be less kind but this one is great.
Cross contact is possible I'm sure, but I believe they car enough to make some effort

Decent brunch food. Whenever I mention gluten free they know what I'm talking about and seem to be careful. I feel a bit rushed though, they usually give us the check before we're halfway done with the food.
