I was surprised at how safely I could eat here! The manager let me know that the grill is used only for burgers and the fryers are used only for their fries, which have no coating on them. The servers all changed gloves, and I was offered my choice of a burger in a bowl or in a lettuce wrap (I chose the bowl). I feel the restaurant is pricy for the amount of food you get, and mine wasn’t discounted at all for not getting a bun. But kudos for them knowing how to take proper precautions.

Accommodating gluten free people with a gluten free bun option is really easy these days, and I don’t like lettuce buns. It’s a cheap alternative to something that many places now offer. I hope Five Guys gets with the times and adds a gluten free bun option.

We went during off hours and the staff was spectacular. Thy immediately suggested using lettuce in place of a bun and definitely knew what they were doing. The asked if it was an allergy, and when I said yes, they immediately changed their gloves. Nothing is fried other than French fries, so those are safe. We did not get the seasoning on the fries, so I don't know about that. The burgers were excellent and we would definitely go back.
They don't have GF buns but everything else was good. I had to bring my own bun. This was my first time eating there and I didn't get sick from anything I eat. I plan on going back here again and will write a 2nd review.
Besides their burgers being delicious, you can that or a hot dog as a lettuce wrap! They don't fry anything other than fries so no worries on those. They were nice enough to look at the ingredients in the BBQ sauce for me. They also changed their gloves when making my burger. He even suggested that he package my burger separately, which id not thought of. Nice employees!
Note: on my second visit I watched the employees making my lettuce wrap. I watched an employee make several burgers and then tend to my lettuce wrap without changing my gloves. When I addressed it she got snotty. They immediately made another one, but wouldn't have if I hadn't said something. Watch them!

Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
