They change their gloves when ordering without a bun due to allergy. Hamburgers (without bun) can be served wrapped in lettuce or in a bowl.

Tried Five Guys based on the previous reviews. Ordered online for takeout. I have to say that for a lettuce wrapped burger this was pretty good. A little greasy but otherwise good. I enjoyed the fries as well. This is a good option when everyone is getting a burger and I need someplace I can get one as well. Take out was pretty fast.

Really gone down hill recently. And this from a guy who first loved Five Guys in Charlottesville. Meat quality has declined. Fries weren't even good last time I went. The fries were cool, limp, short and had blemishes. We had to ask for aluminum pans in which to cut our burgers. They don't do wraps any more. It's more like a burger salad. I love their Coke machine, but not enough to compensate for everything else.

Fantastic place to get good old-fashioned burgers and fries, and they are right up front about their buns being the only thing they serve that has gluten. That said, the menu is rather limited and kinda pricey, and you shouldn't even walk past the place if you have peanut allergies! We don't have peanut allergies, so our biggest complaint was that it was way too much food!

First off this is fast, greasy food. Don't come here looking for kale chips or a vegan quinoa salad. This IS an awesome place for an old school burger that tastes great. I've eaten here a bunch and just order "no bun on lettuce" and it's all loaded in a bowl. Love the toppings and fries. I haven't gotten sick ever from Five Guys. If you do have a peanut allergy though stay away...they give out free peanuts and shells are everywhere. Great place to spot when traveling as it has super clean restrooms and a friendly staff. Order online and save time...you skip the line.

Having been gluten free for a year, Five Guys has NEVER gotten me sick. When you order lettuce wrap they ALWAYS ask if it's allergy related. Saying yes means the are very careful and take precautions to make there is no cross contamination. Fries are naturally gluten free and are cooked in a fryer that only cooks fries. Which is why you can NOT eat any fries from any of the big chains.

Like most Five Guys, this place is fantastic. I've been visiting this location for over a year now with no problem. They are always willing to do a lettuce wrap and their french fries are not only super tasty, but guaranteed to be gluten free as it's the only thing they are allowed to fry. The service has always been great as well.

I can't say enough good things about this place. They handled my gluten and wheat allergy with extreme carefulness. The lady who took my order offered to make mine into a bowl or wrap with lettuce. She informed the people in the kitchen of my allergy and also wrote it on the order. The two workers who handled my food changed their gloves so they would be new. They are very careful and so caring! I didn't get sick here.

Celiacs can always count on a decent burger and fries at Five Guys nation wide. We are full time RV'ers and travel coast to coast. We've come to expect Five Guys as the go-to place if all else fails (ie hard to find a dedicated gluten free place in small town midwest). The only improvement might be to start offering sweet potato fries.

Five guys offers bunless burgers and hot dogs. When my order was taken, they asked if the bunless request was due to lifestyle or an allergy and I explained I am allergic to wheat. They changed their gloves and the person who handled my husband's food, which did include a bun, did not handle mine. They bagged my food separately and were very conscientious when handling my food and I did not get sick afterwards.

FIVE GUYS FRIES! They're delicious! They announce your allergy. They don't have GF buns but will make your dogs or burgers and place them in a container. It's my guilty pleasure food. Being a newly diagnosed celiac, I miss "normal" foods. This is one of those fast food places that care enough to be safe. They will change gloves, answer questions and give you too many fries in the bag. Dare you to eat just one of them!

Tell them you have Celiac and make your whole order GF. Ask them to change gloves. Watch while they prepare your food to ensure nothing goes wrong. The only fry French fries in their fryers. Buns go on one grill and the meat is cooked on a different grill. Talking to manager always helps too.

I had always loved 5 guys before I was diagnosed with Celiac disease and probably still would. However, the cheese they put on their burgers is American and is not gf. I ordered this and had someone deliver it only too later realize that I forgot thow ask about the cheese. SO the low rating is partially MY fault but I did tell the girl who took my order that I needed it to be gf. She seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. That isn't really shocking considering that most off the population doesn't know about GF but being that they were listed on this site I thought maybe the staff had been trained. If they are someone had an off day, which left me hungry and sorry I had taken the chance. I gave 3 stars because either the fries are awesome.

We eat at five guys across the country because they market themselves as gluten free without the bun. Usually that's the case. This particular five guys had bun crumbs all over the food prep counter. The people who prepared our food never changed their gloves. Its just as well because the cashier got our orders wrong. We asked for burgers wrapped in lettuce but received burgers in trays which worked out because had they wrapped them in lettuce on the food prep counter our order would've been contaminated with gluten. Do not recommend this one.

This is the only Five Guys I have ever gone to. And I have gone with my son (who is also celiac) and my daughter (who is not) several times. Not only are they always careful about separating and putting on new gloves regarding our orders, they are super friendly. I don't know what they use for their training or hiring practices, but more places should adopt them. Never had a cc issue, always top notch customer service, and delicious food to boot. Worth the price. Really love these guys.

A regular cheeseburger here is seven dollars. The regular fries, which is very large, is 3.50. And a soda is two more dollars. One hot dog with cheese and no bun is almost 5 dollars by itself. So you can easily spend $12 or more for one person, and for that they serve you food in a greasy paper bag. And you have to sit under bright fluorescent lights. The food is good but not really that much better than a place like Wendy's. I'd rather pay half the price and eat off a tray at Wendy's instead of eating at five guys out of a greasy paper bag. But obviously the catch is Wendys isn't gluten-free. So that's the only reason I would eat here instead.
