Very aware of allergies, lettuce wrap available instead of a gluten bun!

They knew what Celiac disease was, marked all of my food as an allergy, and we could hear the kitchen talking about taking all of the allergy precautions. They put my food in a separate bag and were very friendly. I think they’ve done more training since the first review- I had no problem here and am very sensitive to cross contamination. We’ll be back!

The staff at Five Guys is amazing with gluten allergies. Since the last review, the team must have become more sensitized to the dangers of gluten. It’s my favorite french fry stop off point. They only use peanut oil and only fry French friends in the oil. Thank you!!
Yes
I have been to other Five Guys with no problems about getting gluten free fries. I had a craving & had gone to this location with my mom to pick some up. The employees have no clue what they are doing & the cooks had no clue what gluten was. Ended up not feeling comfortable enough to order & forwent getting the fries. Better safe than sorry.

Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
