Got glutened here. There is a language barrier at this particular location , ask for the manager she speaks English and understands allergies. I’ve never gotten sick from a 5 guys before so this disappointing.

When I am craving a burger and fries this is my go to - I usually get it lettuce wrapped and the fries are the best! No CC in the many times I have eaten here -

We have ordered here before and thought it was somewhat safe. Tonight we had a horrible experience. My husband went in to order and pick up. He told the person at the register that the burger was to be gf and df because his wife has an allergy. They always put mine in a separate bag because of this. He came home with one bag, and mine had cheese on it. Also touching the other burgers that had buns. When I called and talked to Avery the manger, he said “sorry we are busy” Wow!!! I will never go back in there again. Very disappointed.
He did offer to remake, but we live 20 minutes away.

Their staff is well trained. I've eaten their several times and not gotten sick. It would be nice if they had gluten free buns but the lettuce wrapped burger is still really good and the fries are safe!
Yes
Did not get sick and the lettuce wrap held together really well despite the quantity of hot sauce.
Yes
Good cc control, well educated, never had a problem (I'm celiac). Wish they'd get buns though!! LOVE that I can have their fries!!
Please get gluten free buns like red robin Cheesecake Factory etc
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
