I’ve never really had any problems with five guys. I have Celiac Disease so I’m very big on cross contamination and gf. They’re very good about it. They change their gloves and make sure everything is good with keeping away from gluten. I always get their lettuce wrapped burger and their fries. Never had a problem with it all.

Frys are GF. Burger can come in a wrap or bowl. They ask if it's an allergy if you ask for bun less. Other than the buns and malt vinegar everything is GF.

When I asked about gluten free due to celiac, they asked if I wanted my burger in a bowl or wrapped in lettuce. The employee taking my order knew what was gluten free without having to double check. I also loved the gluten free fries.

My kids love five guys. We recently discovered all their items except the buns and malt vinegar are gf. Great gf fries! And they actually ask if its an allergy and change gloves when you order bunless.
delicious!
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
