Every time we go there, they’re always very careful about the cross contamination after I tell them I have Celiac. Never had a reaction there, and the food is always great!
Yes
I had no problems ordering here. The girl even initiated a change in gloves for the guy at the grill without me asking. It will be a good six hours before I know of I got sick or not, but I've never had a problem at any other five guys. If I do get sick, I'll definitely post an update.
Yes
I have tried to eat here 3 different times and have gotten sick every time. I don't have problems with other Five Guys, just this one in particular. When you try to tell them you have celiac you get a stupid look, when you say you have a food allergy one girl actually offered me a napkin. I asked her what was it for and she said to blow my nose.
No
Tell them you are gluten free and they mark no bun and all toppings on the side on your order. Don't order a cheeseburger because they don't care that the foil sticks to the cheese without a bun. Asked for a plate to mix it all together like a salad and they couldn't accommodate. Ended up scraping cheese off foil, using foil as plate, and feeling humiliated all the while. Guess I'll stick to burgers off the grill at home to avoid this embarrassment and hassle.
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
