Have eaten here 3 times recently and have been fine. Told them I had celiacs disease, they said the fries are the only thing in the fryer. I got a lettuce wrap. The first time I went I asked for them to change gloves but forgot the other times 😬 have felt fine every time though.

Despite people on the mainland telling me that Five Guys is reliable for GF options, I was told that NOTHING in the restaurant is gluten free. Repeatedly, on a couple of different visits, and even asking for manager confirmation. They we're emphatic that nothing was safe for me. However, I decided to risk trying the fries because it didn't seem they had any ingredients with gluten and were in their own fryer, and I did not have any reaction (I've had them three times since). Besides, the peanuts and certain sodas are gluten free too. Cross contamination can always be an issue since they have buns in the building, but I think that risk could be minimized if the staff are willing to take a few precautions.
They use peanut oil for those with nut allergies; they offer complementary in-shell peanuts and ask you not to take them outside. Buns are toasted on its own separate grill so no cross over. Burgers are doubled and fries are okay. You should say you are gluten intolerant. They will offer lettuce wrap in lieu of no bun. Ordered "all the way" and didn't have a reaction to condiments/toppings. Did not put GF friendly but they will accommodate GF as much as possible.
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
