My son was recently diagnosed and this was our first time eating out. We went to 5 guys based on recommendations from this app. They were great! My son got his burger in a bowl, they packaged his food separately and changed gloves to handle his food. My son was a little sad to not have a bun but it was a good experience.

This was the 1st time I've eaten out in years because I am so paranoid, however, a friend of mine who also has celiac reassured me that they are very careful. I ordered a lettuce wrap bacon cheeseburger & fries. We told them about our allergies & they assure us their competency. I was SO excited to have fries for the 1st time in years 😁 I was convinced I would get sick afterward but I did not!!!

I've eaten here many times and they are very accommodating. They take special care to change their gloves and are very friendly about the special allergy request.

They change their gloves if you tell them you are GF. They will also put your burger or sog on a GF bun if you bring it in. Delicious fries and burgers!
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
