We told the cashier that we had food allergy and he wrote it in the burger but not the fries. We didn't see them make the burgers but we didn't see anyone change gloves. Lady making the fries touched a burger and then touched the fries and then got mad when we asked to redo them.

Their fryers never touch gluten and their fry cooks don’t cross touch any gluten is what I was told. I’m not sure how safe the grill is but I’ve never been sick from any five guys.

Celiac... great place and very attentive to allergies as well as celiac issues.
I love their fries but wish they had gf buns available.
I love this location! I ordered the cheeseburger "without the bun". The cashier immediately asked "Is this an allergy?" and immediately communicated to the food prep team. With the exception of the buns, everything else is 100% gf!!!
Great fries. But it can be embarrassing when they yell out "order x is an allergy" for everyone to hear.
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
