I have had their burgers in lettuce wrap instead of bun and they took off the old gloves and put on new ones to make my food to ensure I wouldn't get cross contaminated. Love their food!

Definite cross contamination even though I tried to order it gluten free. Went to the museum after, constant stomach aches.

Gluten free fries. No gluten free buns though, so only a 3.
I give it one star because it's very easy to get awesome gluten free food here. The location I usually visit is awesome with the cc factor. This particular location didn't seem to understand the concept of changing their gloves despite my specifically telling them what my needs were and agreeing that thy can do that. I informed the cashier that I could not eat what they were preparing for me because their gloves hadn't been changed. He reassured me that they had been and until I told him that I just watched the cook make a burger on a bun and turn around to throw my burger on the grill. I asked for a refund at that point. It's a shame because I thought I had gotten sick at that location before and convinced myself it was in my head.
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
