All chains are no longer gluten free. They don’t want the liability, so they won’t even call out an “allergy” anymore or change their gloves.

I wish they had a GF bun but they are so GF friendly otherwise! Dedicated fryer for fries, they’ll clean off the mixer for milkshakes if you ask (to prevent cc from malt), and they will lettuce wrap your burger with clean gloves. They also use minimal ingredients and are transparent on their website so you can see what has preservatives in it (ahem mushrooms which I don’t order anymore).
Yes
Ask for a burger lettuce wrap and they will ask if your wrap is for an allergy. They change gloves and take precautions to not cross contaminate with wheat buns.
Yes
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
