I've been to 5 Guys many times, in other locations. I've always stood by and watched my food get made and have had to ask them to redo things if I saw them forget to change their gloves. Today, I went to this 5 guys. I only ordered a Little Fry. Told them I had Celiac and to make sure they know.
Well I've been in pain / committing / diarrhea for the last 4 hours. This is my Gluten reaction. The only thing that I can tie this to is the fries.

Fantastic manager. Just mention gluten allergy since it's better understood than Celiac and they'll note special prep.Burger comes tightly wrapped in lettuce and the fries are fried in a dedicated fryer. Five Guys always delivers when you're hungry for something quick.
Yes
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
