Ask if you have an allergy and announces it to kitchen staff as well as puts it on the recipe, which follows your order. They change gloves. Doesn’t offer a gluten free bun but offers a lettuce wrap for burgers and to put your burger or hot dog in a bowl. I have gone there multiple times and have never gotten sick, and I’m sensitive to cross-contamination.

No gluten-free bun. Not sure why they are on a gluten free app.

Asked right away if I had an allergy when asking for a lettuce wrapped burger, continued to announce where the allergy was in the cook line, changed gloves, and continued to clean. They put my bag in a separate bag, and al the fries in another bag so that they wouldn’t be contaminated. Overall very impressed with their service and attention to detail!

Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
