Staff is not well trained on cross contamination issues. I watched as the manager/supervisor made and wrapped two regular burgers with buns, then with the same gloves grabbed my container of fries from the top (so her entire gloved hand was touching the fries). My order was clearly marked an allergy. I spoke to the manager/supervisor as she handed me my food and politely explained to her that protocol states that she should change gloves after touching bread products. Her response was “oh ok. I guess I can make you new fries.” I declined and walked out with my food that promptly went in the trash.

Separate fryer for fries and they made my lettuce wrap at a separate station. Was really good.

Amazing place I ate here several times and never got sick and they have great food!
Perfect Allergy burger (lettuce wrap) and fries. 5 guys is a GF staple for me on travel. Ate there on June 4, 2018.

Standard Five Guys. Get the burger on a lettuce wrap or in a metal tin. Dedicated fryer so the fries are good.

Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
