Had a great experience at this location! Our server was knowledgable and we enjoyed a celiac safe pizza. Separate prep area and the pizza cooks in its own pan, though they use the same pizza oven.

They prepare all the gf pizza in a completely separate area, they cook the pizzas in their own tinfoil pans in the shared oven, and have dedicated pizza cutters for gf. It was absolutely delicious, would 100% go again. The only annoying thing is that gf crust is an additional $5!!! Not a cheap pizza.

Great Pizza. I haven’t had many options for gluten free pizza, but while up in North Conway my fiancé and I decided to give it a shot. Pizzas are cooked in a shared oven but on a separate tin. I did not have any issues.

NOT ALLERGY FRIENDLY!! 9 of us went to flatbread pizza at the start of my sisters bachelorette as she has a severe gluten and dairy allergy and the server assured us and explained their practices to keep cross contamination to a minimum. 3 of our 9 orders were wrong. They almost served my sister a gluten crust but she (my sister) realized the mistake and asked them to fix it. They did but forget she also ordered dairy free. She got extremely Ill shortly after from the dairy causing the party to be cut short. You only get one bachelorette and hers was ruined because of their lack of understanding how serious food allergies are. I think it should be noted the business was not that busy at the time. I know the dinner time rush can be stressful and things can be overlooked but this was not the case. They need a better system for allergies or reeducation. In fairness If you don’t have allergies the pizzas are pretty tasty.

Had another great experience at Flatbread! The server confirmed that it was a gluten allergy so they would take extra precautions to prepare it separately. I love that the GF crust is thin and delicious and comes out in the pan it was baked in.

Very tasty, and alot of options for those with celiac. On their menu they have a disclaimer, saying they can't 100% guarantee gluten free - because they make pizzas and have flour in the air. But I had no problem

They understand when you tell them allergy when ordering a gluten free pizza. Make sure to mention it is an allergy so they know to put it on a safe aluminum pan to bake. They prepare the gluten free pizzas in a separate area away from the regular ones. When I asked for a box the server first boxed up the regular pizzas and said she would go wash her hands and be back to do mine. Good pizza as well! They are up front on the menu about potential for cross contamination because it is a pizza place and they are trying to cover themselves but they are the safest pizza place I have eaten at both at this location, in Portsmouth and Portland.

I am not celiac, just gluten intolerant, but I was impressed with the care that they took with my GF pizza. It was prepared in a separate area, away from the regular pizzas, and was cooked on a disposable aluminum pan. I had the BBQ pizza with pork, pineapple, and goat cheese. It was delicious!

Acted like they do this all the time with GF. Got sick within 10 mins of finishing my part of a GF pizza. So cross contamination likely. Add to that... it didn’t even taste good going down. Dry dry dry ingredients and bland flavor. I wouldn’t return there.

Great and safe GF pizza! The waitress took all of my concerns seriously. They use a pizza crust that's in its own aluminum tray, they use completely separate toppings, and cut it in a different area that's above where they cut the gluten-full pizzas. I'm writing this review 24 hours after eating and I'm feeling great!

Best pizza I've ever had. I got the sausage pizza with vegan cheese. Our waitress was really responsive and happy to talk through their precautions to keep the pizza safe. For gluten free pizza they make it in the back room so it's not prepared near the gluten pizza, and they use toppings that haven't been used for gluten pizza, either. Then they carry it out on a special tray so it doesn't touch anything. I also watched the person putting pizzas in the oven and he was very careful about placing it in a way that he wouldn't be putting the floured paddle over top of it. These folks really go above and beyond to make gluten free pizza as safe as it could possibly be in this type of restaurant. They also made a mistake on my pizza and cut it using the wrong (gf but not df) cutter, so they immediately made a new one. I appreciated that they caught the mistake and corrected it right away.

That said, the seating area is in a large room where the gluten pizzas are being made and cooked. The ovens have hoods and we saw the smoke being sucked into the hoods, so any flour in the air stays away from the seating area. I'm very sensitive and didn't get glutened.

I have been to other Flatbread Co locations but not this before the other day. I always have great gf pizza and have never had a reaction. Waitstaff are extremely pleasant and each location has a wonderful relaxed feel.

Knowledgeable staff and separate preparation for GF pizza made this feel like a safe choice. My son ate the pizza and did not complain but honestly I didn't think it was very good.The toppings were delicious but the GF dough not so much. It seemed like the bottom (either the dough itself or because it is cooked in a pan) was undercooked but the crust was really dark. I'm not sure how they could avoid it given that they are going out of their way to make it safe, but I guess upon reading all the reviews I had set expectations higher. Great service, salad, fresh lemonade and toppings.

Staff seemed very knowledgeable about Celiac. Informed me that they take as many precautions as possible but there is plenty of "airborne flour, etc." so I'm taking a risk eating there. I ordered a cheese and herb flatbread which apparently came out without herbs because the waitress asked afterwards if I wanted herbs on the side? I declined because it was very tasty without. Picky family loved their non-gf pizza. I waited a few days to make sure I didn't get sick and so far so good. The pizza was however extremely greasy and maybe I'm weird but the amount of smoke from the ovens inside kind of bugged me while eating, haha. I'd go back though.

The gf pizza was very good and my son had no issues after eating it. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere was great. It's family friendly but also a good place to go without kids. We will definitely be returning when we are in the area again.

This might have been the best pizza I have ever had. They catered perfectly to my gluten allergy, with an amazing pizza and a gluten free whoopee pie for desert. Everything is farm to table, healthy and delicious. I might come back to North Conway just for more Flatbread Company, I would very highly recommend it to anyone and everyone, especially those with food allergies.

Amazing pizza with really good crust- doesn’t taste gf! I’ve been coming here for years and the waiters are always incredibly knowledgeable (I think one of the head chefs has celiac). The pizza is cooked in a tin and is prepared and sliced in a separate area. They also have delicious gluten free brownie sundaes! Definitely come here whenever you’re in Portland!

I will admit that I was terrified I was going to be sick here after watching them prep all of the non-GF pizzas and seeing how much flour is flying around. My pizza was prepped in the back and came out separately, and I did not end up sick! The crust was delicious and the pizza was actually a full sized pizza. I get really nervous about pizza because there’s so much room for cross contact but server explained that they prep the pizzas in a separate area and they are cooked above the gluten free pizzas on individual pans and they use dedicated tools. I did not have any reaction and pizza was really good (and nice to have a full size pie even if a small upcharge from the regular dough). Had a salad here too that was very fresh. Would recommend.
