Amazing gf food. We called and made a reservation and I asked about a gf menu and from the time we showed up everyone talked about our meal being gf. They even brought out a gf starter plate which was awesome. it was an amazing gf experience.
A very delicious gluten-free dinner. The gluten-free selection is very good, and our waiter was quite knowledgeable about what the kitchen could and couldn't do. My husband enjoyed a steak, and I enjoyed the tuna tartare (without the sauce), and we split a creme brulee for dessert. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because we made a reservation but our table wasn't ready for us until 20 minutes after we arrived.
If you have Celiac Disease or are gluten free for other reasons, I would highly recommend you go eat at Flemings. When you call ahead to make your dining reservation be sure to let them know that you will be needing gluten free menu options. I enjoy arriving at a restaurant that remembers in advance that a gluten free menu will be needed without you needing to ask when you're seated at your table. Although I do have a big sweet tooth, I could probably live on steak and potatoes, especially Flemings potatoes. If you haven't ordered them and gone to Flemings, you need to go back immediately. The Flemings potatoes are sliced paper thin, layered in a delicious creamy and cheesy sauce with jalapeños for added kick, then coated in a thick layer of cheddar cheese, and baked to perfection. And that's just the potatoes, the steak alone at Flemings is delicious no matter what cut is your preference. Oh and did I mention they have gluten free dessert options? The creme brûlée is my favorite Flemings dessert! Whenever I travel if there's a Flemings location nearby then that's my go to place at least one night for dinner. I love going to gluten free friendly restaurants that truly understand cross contamination and making sure that your dietary restrictions are respected.
Flemings truly is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Even before I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, this was one of my favorite places to go to dinner with friends and family. It's great to still be able to create more memories and enjoy a delicious meal without worrying about getting glutened. I can't say enough good things about how nice the staff is here and how wonderful the foods tastes. If you have Celiac Disease, food allergies or just want a great steak dinner you need to go to Flemings!
Went there for graduation....incredible food, very kind and helpful staff - definitely worth the money - if you're going to a steakhouse you should expect to pay some. And the food is well worth the price. I recommend 10x over! (PS - get the creme brûlée)
unfortunately I had a server who after 15 years knows everything about celiac disease or so he thought when he suggested I eat the ceaser salad or the wedge with blue cheese dressing. I had a steak and asparagus whatever they seasoned it with is making my tummy rumble and hopefully I'll make it home. I would not recommend this place if you are celiac. even asking them to make sure they are using separate pans etc... seemed like it was a total big deal. my lesson to learn tonight
Very good food, although if you have Celiac disease, be careful!! This establishment isn't as knowledgeable as I would like. When I order a gluten free Salad, 8 times out of 10 they will add croutons. So just watch out. The chicken that I had was very good... I give it 5 stars. I give the potato's 5 stars. :) They serve family style, much like PF Changs.
I had my birthday dinner at flemings last weekend. They had a gluten free menu. All of the steaks were gluten free and most of the sauces and sides (except spinach and Mac and cheese and french fries). Not many gluten free apps, salads, or desserts. I ordered the burrata cheese as an app without the crackers and just ordered extra arugula. I also had a filet Oscar with flemings potatoes. My steak was delicious. The staff was very knowledge and accommodating.
not work the risk or the money! They had a one page gluten free menu with no prices (although the regular menu did). Everything is ala carte . The waiter seemed to have absolutely no knowledge of celiac disease or what the gluten free menu really entailed. There was no salads on the gluten free menu and when I asked them if he could just make a house salad without dressing or croutons on what was on it he had a hard time trying to tell me what I could have. They brought out a bowl of lettuce with dressing on it which I sent back and asked for balsamic vinegar and a lemon wedge which was my original request, then I got back just a plain bowl of lettuce which they then charged me $10 .. My dinner came out different then the menu implied, when I asked the waiter if it was indeed the gluten free chicken I ordered he said the menu had changed and this was now the chicken and it was ok. The final annoyance was when I got my leftovers back to my hotel..they had put my friends leftover creamed spinach in the same container..which was not gluten free and not my food! Bottom line..not worth the money for how uneducated this place is..and the food was mediocre at best. I have found the people at Chipotle are more knowledgeable than at this over priced Steakhouse.
Obviously this place is expensive. But you're paying for wonderful and knowledgeable service. Hostesses knew where designated GF menu was. Server knew what was GF and when asked about soup of the day, went back to the chef to be sure if it was GF. Small list of options, but the steaks are to die for. Their creme brûlée may easily be the best thing I've ever eaten in my life. Eaten here twice for special occasions, haven't gotten sick either time. Very delicious, would recommend if you can afford it.
Great atmosphere, tasty food - but mine was not gluten free, got sick as soon as I got home. We noted we needed gluten free when we made the reservation, they had a GF menu at the table when we arrived, but then they brought me a salad with croutons. They fixed that immediately. My steak came with steak sauce on the side which they said not to order the steak sauce ... Not confident in their ability to provide gluten free meals!
Very expensive, but well worth it.
These folks are great every time we visit. My daughter has full-blown celiac and I'm extremely intolerant. I typically reserve via the Open Table app and designated Gluten Free. Whenever we arrive, the hostess greets us with GF menus and the server is prepared to discuss our options. Neither of us has had any cross-contamination issues-ever!
Outstanding food and great Gluten Free Menu.
Absolutely fantastic for gluten free dining. The chef and restaurant team have always been very accommodating when preparing my meal....They have quite a variety of menu choices that are gluten free, and treat your dietary needs with the greatest of care. This is my number one dining choice out of the multitude of restaurants that Winter Park has to offer. We go there regularly, and I have never had any problems. My favorite spot!
Although they have a GF menu, their lack of knowledge about gluten ingredients and cross contamination was astounding! I would not recommend this place if you're Celiac. Unfortunate because I was really looking forward to some of their options. Maybe another location is better informed?...
Way overpriced. The food is just average, not worth the top-shelf prices, and the ambiance is this weird mixture of diner and fine dining, with loud top 40 music, and lots of noise and clatter from the kitchen and bar. The service was good, but it's not enough to get me to go back.
Amazing food and service. Justin, our server, has a son that is GF so he was on it!! The GF menu is extensive and 2 of the 3 specials were GF. It's great that they naturally do many of their dishes GF so no modifications required. The creme brûlée was amazing. I did not have any reactions to the food and I am very sensitive to gluten.

Very pricey. No prices on GF menu, no description of menu items, no side dishes or salads come with main dish so you order everything seperate. My steak was $40 alone. They brought out delicious smelling bread and specialty butter that I could only stare at and watch be eaten. I did get sick in the middle of the night so I suspect cross contamination is to blame. I won't go back.... sick all night and all day. Horrible gluten poisoning, especially for a meal that cost so much!
