Terrible experience, don’t even waste your time coming here. I ordered the blackened fish and a baked potato thinking it would be the safest option. Entree came out wrong at first. Finally got my order when everyone was finished. New order came out and there was a breadstick across my food. After I said I cannot have bread, do not put it on the plate. I said take it off the bill, and we left. She didn’t even apologize. Not worth the trip.

1. Crazy busy 2. Less than attentive staff 3. Waitresses seemed annoyed by allergies and asked no questions when I told her our order (with changes to make safe) 4. Waitress rolled her eyes when I sent something back due to it having cheese on my son’s sandwich (he’s allergic to dairy) 5. Overpriced & underwhelming food

We had a bad experience here. My celiac husband asked what was gluten free, and the server seemed annoyed and said he could have a salad. Then he said the blackened whitefish should be ok, but didn’t seem confident about it. Then he brings out the plate of whitefish with a garlic breadstick touching the fish. We had high hopes for this place based on other reviews, but it was very disappointing!

No reactions with super sensitive celiac .no gluten free menu buy very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Open grill so you can see any cross contamination. Steak or grilled chicken. No bread options but still good for the UP.

I was scared to eat here, I’ll admit it, it’s more of a bar atmosphere but I was pleasantly surprised at how good my meal was and that I wasn’t sick and felt fine afterwards. I had a filet and the grill is in the middle of the dining room so I watched it being cooked and nothing but steaks were on that grill so I felt safe. It came with a baked potato and salad. It was so good we came back the next night and I had the same thing. Optio s are limited in Munising area and I’ll definitely be at Foggys next time I’m in town!

Ate here twice, crowded but good tasty and safe food. Both servers took allergies seriously.

I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Whitefish. I asked the waitress if it had any flour as I am allergic to it, I find it sometimes makes them take gluten allergies more serious if you put it that way, especially in places where gluten free food is not as common, such as the UP. The chef came out with the spices they used to show me the ingredient list (without me prompting them to) and showed me that it contained no gluten. He said his wife has a severe allergy (didn’t specify) and that he is familiar with checking ingredients on things because of it. The fish was DELICIOUS and I did not get sick at all.

If I could give this restaurant negative stars I would! Absolutely horrible service and knowledge of celiac/gluten intolerance by the server. We waited 20 minutes for a waitress to come to the table, I then throughly asked about gluten free options and definitely made it clear I needed a gf meal. An hour later dinner arrives with a lovely breadstick on the plate, waitress says "you can just eat around it." She then gave me an attitude like it was my fault. Ended up ordering a strip steak and baked potato to go. Steak was cooked perfect is all I can say good about this experience. They didn't even take a few bucks off the bill for the inconvenience.

I asked the waitress right away about gluten free and she went and talked to the kitchen. They really didn't tell her much so she shared a couple sides and said you build your own gf. I don't think they understand what that means. I ordered a steak and baked potato. My plate came out with bread on it. When I said I couldn't eat it, the waitress got a bit snippy and said I wish you had said that. We asked about gluten free and croutons on the salad. I didn't specifically say no bread but if they understood gf I wouldn't have to. I didn't reorder and won't go back.
Staff did an excellent job accommodating my husbands GF needs (he's a Celiac). They were able to cook him a steak and baked potato (used a separate pan, location in the kitchen). Food was delicious.
