When we entered the restaurant the hostess named Sky was welcoming and greeted us with a very nice smile. I told her about my gluten allergy and right away she provided suggestions for gluten free options. She also took our picture on the outside deck when we asked her. Sky is the best hostess. The Restaurant is on the beach, there is indoor and outdoor sitting, the atmosphere is very open, airy, laidback and chic. You can also walk on the pier to the water after eating. Glad I went with Sky’s suggestion and tried The farmers market salad with arugula, candied pecans, golden raisins, poached pears, goat cheese, rosemary vinaigrette. This was a refreshing salad with the perfect balance of ingredients and flavor. The Vinaigrette dressing was a little too tart but mellowed out with the goat cheese. My husband said his Cuban sandwich was also very good. Our server Toni was nice and attentive to our tables needs. It may not have a dedicated gluten free menu but there are options and the salad options are good. Definitely check this restaurant out.

After reading a review that the servers were very knowledgeable, we did not have the same experience. The waitress was actual a little ride when I asked about gluten free options in telling me "we don't have any besides some GF bread and we don't really have it usually.
I had the tuna without a bun that was pretty decent. So far, no reactions! But I had to really advocate for my needs.

Food Craft is located on the beach at Gulf State Park, it is right outside The Lodge at Gulf State Park (it is a Hilton). They had an AMAZING breakfast buffet. The chef was able to answer all my questions. The bacon is cooked In an oven, the eggs are cooked in an egg only pan, the fresh fruit on the buffet is far away from gluten containing products to help decrease cross contamination, the grits are safe and delicious. The roasted potatoes are made in a griddle that later in the day they make French toast on. I’m celiac w DH and he described how they clean it the day before then first thing in the morning the potatoes go on, i usually would’ve avoided those but I risked it given the explanation of the cleaning, if I have a reaction I will get back on here and update. The buffet is $20 but was so worth it. The view is AMAZING!
