Very careful separation of celiac food. They even have dedicated servers to being the celiac food out and it has dedicated labels pinned to it.

I felt really safe eating here. A manager came out to deliver the food and explained that they double plated and had a manager cook it so that there wasn’t a risk of cross contamination. I got the blackened salmon and mashed potatoes and broccoli. Very good.

Awesome, above and beyond celiac safety. Manager delivered my food separate. Clearly marked gluten free. Employees changed gloves, aprons, and work stations to avoid cross-contamination. Food was delicious and service was awesome.

I always loved Ford’s Garage before my diagnosis, but this was the first time I’ve been there since. I didn’t ask for the gluten free menu as I had already previewed GF items on the website. However, the main menu does indicate a GF menu is available. I let our server know I have a “Gluten Allergy” as I verified the ChickenCobb Salad Is Gluten Free. She said she would flag my order so that the kitchen would know to be extra cautious and double check all ingredients. My food was brought out by itself. I was a bit confused, but the person who delivered it said, “we take your allergy very seriously. Making sure your food is safe is top priority for us. It has to be reviewed by a manager before being sent and has to be served separate from the rest of the order by a manager.” Wow! Color me impressed!! I’ll definitely be back!! Edited to add: on subsequent visits I was told that when an order is flagged for an allergy, staff preparing the meal are required to change gloves and aprons and prepare the food in a separate area to avoid cross contamination. Allergy meals are always double plated and always delivered by a manager. Love this place!

I told the server I needed to eat completely gluten free. I ordered the Chicken Cobb salad, which was noted as gf on the menu. She agreed that would be safe, and she agreed to find out what dressing would be gf as well. When my meal was served, it was doubled plated(some restaurants serve on unique plates), and served to me by the manager who said that it was a gluten free meal, prepared in a designated area to avoid cross-contamination. What a lovely experience!

This was such a cool place to go before the Ford tour - lots of memorabilia - a great place for kids. My food was clearly marked gluten free and the burgers were decent, maybe a little overcooked.

Server immediately verified the allergy need, explained food is prepare separate. Manager brought out GF food to maintain separate from the rest of the table, which came out a minute later. My son says the mashed potatoes were the best ever!

Great meal and great service! I have a gluten allergy and the manager personally delivered my meal assuring me that it was prepared in a safe manner separate from other food prep. Great service, very pleasant staff, great atmosphere and awesome experience overall. Highly recommended!

Great food! Lots of GF ciders and clearly marked GF food on the menu. Not a lot of GF options but a decent amount. Server immediately knew the precautions, best burger I’ve had in a while and the mashed potatoes were really good as well. The manager even ran the food to ensure it was safe. Will for sure be back soon.

Excellent GF dining experience. I have celiac and was so impressed with the safety precautions and number of GF menu items. The manager personally brought the food to the table and explained all of the precautions taken to make sure my meal wasn’t cross contaminated and the food itself was delicious! Will definitely be dining here again.

GF items are marked on the menu, many can be made gluten free. The floor manager came out to my table to check on my dairy allergy as well and offered alternative options to my sides because there was milk. She then hand delivered my plate, told me they used new gloves and prepared my meal in a completely separate part of the kitchen.

They try their best to prevent cross contamination. They are trained on allergy protocol and the staff is always reassuring and kind. Haven’t had their burgers but I always get the blackened salmon with a couple of their gluten free sides (mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or broccoli) I haven’t had any issues & it’s always delicious! I highly recommend it.
Side note: I was informed that all of their dressings are house-made and are at a high risk for contamination, so stay away from any side salads!

Terrific GF burger buns. Many options for GF dining. Excellent waitstaff knowledgeable about Celiac. Side dishes clearly marked if GF. Great choice if you want dinner after visiting local attractions, including the Henry Ford, Greenfield Village, the Rouge plant, and the Fairlane Estate.

This place already has a lot of positive reviews, and now we see why! Kitchen is extremely careful in preparing gluten-free. A chef brought the gf food out separately and talked to us about how they take care in making they’re gluten-free orders. Everything tasted great! They do not have a separate fryer so no GF fries. Fun atmosphere! Great experience.

Amazing food! I had the cheeseburger, coleslaw and mashed potatoes, all delicious. The staff takes allergies seriously and it was great to feel at ease knowing my meal was safe. Definitely would eat here again!
First time customer. I was thoroughly impressed. The manager came out to bring my side salad and explained that anything marked as a food allergy is double plated and is brought out separately by a manager and is kept separate from the rest of the tables order. I ordered a black n bleu burger with turkey instead of beef. It came on an udis bun. And I got the cheddar mashed potato side. I will definitely be returning

Burger was to die for! And they had gluten free buns! Fries unfortunately weren't gluten free. But the mashed potatoes were super tasty. Can't wait to come back!

Excellent meal and knowledgeable staff!

Gluten free menu and the udi’s bun was yummy! Not dry as they usually are!
The staff was very helpful in explaining their processes for cooking food from the gluten free menu. The menu had decent options as well. Unfortunately, as knowledgeable as the staff was, the food itself left something to be desired; it wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t great. Overall, just OK. Kind of a let down.
Yes
Very cool restaurant, disappointed that they glutened my 5yo, (he ordered grilled chicken and steamed broccoli). Reacted within 90 minutes of eating.
No
Server and manager seemed aware of cross contamination and were very helpful with menu options that I could eat. Will go back!
Yes
The restaurant has an awesome theme and dedicated gluten free menu.
Ford’s Garage has great burgers with GF buns. Not GF fries. They offer GF mashed potatoes, Broccoli, Coleslaw and Salad. The other GF entrees are a chicken dish and a salmon dish. This is a great place for burgers, but that’s about it. The manager brought out my food, which is always a plus. Would visit again, especially if I’m wanting a burger.

READ! Call, triple check, then call again! We did not actually eat here so my review is just based on experience with them not taste….. we tried to plan ahead to figure out dinner for a group of 12- 2 with celiacs…… called at 1 pm to ask if they have GF buns for cheese burgers, best time to come in for our large group, and ask if fry’s are GF…… they said 4pm is the slowest, fry’s are GF, and yes they have buns. Called again at 3pm after one of our children got sick to ask if they will do Togo orders I also double checked about buns and fry’s again…… finally called in our very large Togo order at 430 they told me it would be ready in 15 mins. We got there in about 10 mins, checked in, about 30 mins later I’m still waiting but I get a phone from them to inform me that they don’t offer GF buns anymore… I said okay fine just finish making the food without buns. But I double check for a 3rd time that the fry’s were definitely GF. The lady on the phone said no they are definitely not GF it says right on the box that they contain gluten and she apologized for the miss information. It was a s**t show!! Avoid them at all cost. Clearly no one is on the same page there considering I had called multiple times this should have never happened.

They have gluten free buns that are wonderful, but they did kindly inform me when I ordered that their fries were cross contaminated. While cross contamination does not bother me, I put it in here so others can know.

The outside bartender actually knew that being celiac means that I needed a gluten free bun. There’s an online allergy menu. And best yet… it’s been over 24 hours and I have no cross contamination symptoms

Items clearly marked on their menu. When I ordered a gf bun for my burger, the waiter confirmed it was an allergy. A few minutes later, a manager stopped by the table to let me know the kitchen was aware and taking all necessary precautions. Food was delivered to table separately from the remaining order "to keep everyone safe, happy and healthy". Could not have been handled better and food was fantastic.
