Food was decently good but definitely not Celiac safe. My dad got regular beer and I got GF cider and they switched them right from the beginning so I took a sip of regular beer! I asked “are you sure?” first and she was confident! Booooo. She was wrong and that glutened me right from the meal’s beginning!

Our meals came (see images below), pulled pork and brisket both sandwiches. Green beans were re-warmed mushy. Buns were fine but who knows how they toasted them. I got a salad instead of a fries (shared frier). Dessert was good. I’m not sure what was safe or not though since I had a sip of regular beer via this experience. I spent the soon after, and the night and morning very sick.

Apparently, this is now called Fort 88 Smokehouse. They have a few varieties of hard cider, which I love and is conveniently gluten-free - Blake's Caramel Apple is awesome! I was told their spice rubs and all their BBQ sauces are gluten-free. They also have gluten -free buns for their sandwiches available upon request. I had the Brisket Melt with cole slaw & a salad. (No fries, they do not have a dedicated fryer.) I thought the food was delicious. I'll grant that I have non-classical Celiac's (no GI symptoms), so I cannot be entirely certain I wasn't "glutened." I was reasonably certain through that precautions were taken and the food I ate was safe. We were seated promptly and service was very good, waitress checked with the kitchen to ensure about gluten-free options. I was quite pleased and would come back.

Food is good. They gave GF buns which are good. They don’t have a dedicated fryer though. They take precautions if you let them know you have celiacs!
