Experienced and helpful wait staff (who said her best friend has celiac and that she used to work at a GF bakery) informed me that the pizza is definitely not safe for folks with celiac. She said they make the GF pizza on the same counters as the regular pizza, use the same pans, etc. That was a bummer based on the previous reviews of people enjoying the GF pizza. That said, I enjoyed the hummus platter with GF tortilla chips exchanged for the pita bread and it was filling. The GF cheesecake was to die for! Also, a few things are marked GF but they don’t seem to take any precautions for cross contamination.

Tuna melt was actually a tuna steak served on a GF bun. Quite good, although the bun was bit dry… as most are. The GF lemon-blueberry cheesecake was to die for! I’ll definitely be back!

Gluten free pizza crust, gluten free beer options (actual beer, not just ciders!), and dairy free cheese for pizzas on the second floor (you have to go upstairs to get pizza). All so good!

They have a few ciders and wine that are gf and on a dedicated tap away from beer lines. They have a few options that are gf, but definitely have to specify exactly how you want it to be safe. Otherwise very accommodating and didn’t get sick after having a burger. Didn’t have bun toasted so wasn’t the best. They stated they had a separate fryer for fries but then realized they put in the non gf vegan patties so beware.

Very knowledgeable and great food! Not celiac, the pizza crust was the perfect amount of chew, felt home made.

Our server said that they had scaled back the GF options due to COVID and were frustrated with the lack of options to offer. You can get the pub food and bring it upstairs as take out but there's no dedicated fryer. Bacon cheeseburger was good but they were out of GF buns.

That is no way should be on this app. Chips , a plain salad for$$$? Yeah, no, not celiac safe either.
The GF burgers and buns are good, but the GF pizza was pretty bad! Serious Pizza in Ilwaco has MUCH better GF pizza.

I love Fort George! But as an employee I can tell you I don't feed my celiac kid here. Ever!

This was by far the best gluten free pizza I've had maybe ever. I definitely recommend it! The staff is extremely helpful and willing to talk you through what you want. For sure will return
The french fries were delicious, and they had Groundbreaker beers! However, the food options were extremely limited. Several dishes (like falafel) that would be GF at other places were made with flour. I wouldn't go again unless they added more food options.
Great place for a ciliac to eat with gf beer and cider as well!
Our daughter has celiac & nothing was open in town because it was late & the reviews on here weren’t the best. BUT we talked to the hostess & she was so helpful. Super accommodating, making sure my daughters chicken tacos & salad were free from cross contamination. The portions were so good! That side salad is more greens I get when I buy just a salad. #veggiesmost

Great food, but the service staff assured me that the chips were 100% GF and in a separate fryer, even though that is not the case. I got super sick after going here!

The chips and fries are labeled GF on the menu, but the fryer isn't dedicated. Not a lot of options, but the vegetarian chili is GF and tasty. I had the burrito without the tortilla and without the chips. Tasty. Plenty of GF wine and cider! My non-GF hubby really likes the beers and sausage here, so we always go when we are in Astoria, Oregon. Plus, it is right next to the Blue Scorcher bakery which does GF.
The server and kitchen staff were very accommodating. Ordered pork tacos watched the cook dawn new gloves new knife new cutting board etc. did not get sick. Only one hard cider and its on the dry side no other gf alcohol options. would definitely go back.

This place is great but they have limited GF options and are not celiac friendly.
Before I found out I have a gluten intolerance I've eaten here and it's good, but it's not a place to come if you're worried about cross contamination.

My husband especially likes this place for their beer and sausages. They do have gluten free options - I had the veggie burrito, but without the flour tortilla. It was very good, but not very healthy.
Multiple gluten free items on menu, but kitchen is not certified GF.
