We are currently visiting NYC. For my family of 4, We ordered the 2 orders of potstickers (delish), Mac n cheese (just ok), fried chicken meal and added 2 extra pieces of chicken and fries for the side (so good), crispy rice with tuna (yummy). Total after tax $99. Would definitely go again! COMPLETELY CELIAC SAFE!!!!

We went to new York for a week, and ended up eating at Friedmans 5 times. The staff were extremely knowledgeable, and almost everything could be made gluten-free, and we felt very safe that no cross contamination occurred. Plus the food was really good :)

Unreal. So flavorful & easy to order. I felt so comfortable with their GF & cross contamination knowledge. I had the Mac and cheese bites & grilled cheese - both foods I haven’t been able to have professionally made for me in literal decades. Highly recommend, even with the nyc prices.

AMAZING!!! Not to be missed! Variety of food and staff is very knowledgeable about the menu! Such a great find.

This place is a must if you’re in the area. I had the gf three cheese mac and cheese bites as well as the gf grilled cheese and fries. My friend who isn’t gluten free had the Latkes and shakshuka was great and portion sizes were bigger than expected. The service was amazing they were constantly making sure our beverages were filled and that we were doing okay. The best thing by far hands down was the gf cheesecake. My friend who doesn’t even like normal cheesecake, loved it! The crust, taste, and appearance all would have fooled me as it looked too good to be true 11/10 it’s definitely the one thing you need to get. The waiter also knew what celiac was but the whole place is already gf.

Food was delicious, and service very friendly. It's great that everything on the menu can be made GF! Had the GF hash and a pancake on the side. The non-gf French toast was divine.

Brunch before heading out for the day and was thrilled to have the entire menu gluten free optional. Most things are gluten free, but they do have non gluten free available. 🥰

My celiac partner and I had an okay experience here. Our waiter was nice and attentive, and said that if our food does not come marked with a flag that said “Gluten Free,” to let him know. We had ordered vegetable potstickers to start with (which were okay), then for our main courses, I ordered the brick chicken, and my celiac partner ordered the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. My brick chicken stayed true to the name, it was dry and nearly tasteless. I could not finish it. The mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts were not any better either. The mashed potatoes had an awkward consistency, and tasted like chalk. The Brussels sprouts were soggy and lots burnt. My partner enjoyed the fried chicken, but the sandwich was far too loaded for the flimsy gf bun. It fell apart and he was left tearing the pile that was once a sandwich apart frantically. The amount was very filling, but the sandwich is supposed to remain a sandwich, not become an American poke bowl. The price was definitely not worth the meal. We will not be returning.

The food was great and the staff were very knowledgeable about coeliacs. All the desserts were gluten free - I loved it! I’m a very sensitive coeliac and had no issues here

Excellent!!! Our Celiac daughter had fried chicken, Mac and cheese, fries, and the Greek salad. It was all delicious and she didn’t get sick!! Highly recommend!!

Latkes are AMAZING. Very knowledgeable and careful about gf. Not a dedicated kitchen, though, so depending on sensitivity might not be best fit for some. Some of best gf food I've ever had.

It’s overpriced, the food isn’t amazing, but it’s reliable and tasty and very good about the gluten free. The pancakes are great and they make a solid burger. If you’re in Herald Square you’re not gonna find a better option!

We came here for dinner. My daughter (celiac) ordered the Mac n cheese, which was sooo good. We ordered our entire meal gluten free. The fried chicken and Korean BBQ wings were fantastic. The brussel sprouts were okay - we just wish there were crispier! (Though the menu did say roasted and not deep fried.)

We love that the food came out marked. The website (particularly the online ordering is well labeled.) When we called, the person we spoke with was well informed (no passing the phone to another person to answer our questions.)

We are adding this restaurant to our favorites so we know to come here again the next time we visit NYC.

Updated to add: We came back 2 days later for breakfast - lemon ricotta, banana bread, eggs, bacon, toast with blueberry butter. It was all very tasty! And, again, service was fantastic. Everything marked.

Be very careful. I was served a gluten Reuben sandwich after ordering a GF one. The waiter assured me the order was correct however after having 2 bites I knew it contained wheat. The waiter was not very apologetic and they did not even offer to comp the dish. Unprofessional and dangerous place to eat. Food is tasty thou.

It’s true that almost the whole menu can be made GF. Dinner with my husband and daughter was delicious and carefree, thanks to the server’s careful consideration. She listened carefully to my concerns, but was knowledgeable about celiac disease and cross-contamination, so I was put at ease. My daughter, who is not Celiac, did not notice that her meal was GF, too (which helps me reduce CC at the table). Will return next time we’re in the area.

Honestly after reading these reviews I was superrrrr excited to try this on my NYC trip. However I was extremely disappointed. I got the fried chicken sandwich with fries. There was zerooooo flavor to the fried chicken. The bun was actually the highlight of the sandwich. Then the fries; had like no salt. And also lacked flavor.

I can’t say I’d recommend this place to anyone.

We visited here recently and loved it. The GF food was phenomenal. We loved the choices that we wouldn’t normally get. Everyone in our party thought the food was top quality. The service was great as well.
