For the past year, I’ve had to be gluten and dairy free. Our server’s attention and knowledge made for an experience that is hard to find at a restaurant. For the past year, eating out has become stressful. Servers don’t know the ingredients, and don’t seem to be willing or able to find out. Our visit to Gibbet Hill was a treat – and the food – wonderful as always. They had a GF menu which took care of half of my concerns. Our server told us about the butter/margarine on the outside of baked potatoes (I would never have thought about that), that they could make risotto GF/DF, and that the reduction on the duck contained dairy. I had the duck entrée (with GF/DF risotto) – and it was fantastic. Desert was apple cider sorbet. And, the GF corn bread muffins – outstanding!
