I called ahead and told them I had celiac. They said they could take care of it. I reminded them again when we arrived. They made my food separately in the kitchen and said it was gluten free, but there must have been some cross contamination. I am so sad, because I was really excited to be able to dine at one of our favorite restaurants.

I’ve been getting hibachi at Ginza for years and never gotten sick. Be sure to tell your server you are gluten free. They have gluten free soy sauce to make fried rice. Stay away from the ginger sauce and the garlic shrimp. I get the salad with yum yum sauce and the soup broth without noodles.
