We traveled 1 1/2 hours to Ali's for her amazing gluten free bakery. I have not found options like hers in the 3 years that I have been gluten free. When I drove down and it was closed I felt like a family member died that is how sad I was. She had a true talent for what she did. God bless you for the little slice of heaven that you offered us Ali.

Closed! It's so sad.... She had a very comprehensive selection of certified gluten free products. I'm hoping that they are moving or have moved and will re-open somewhere. Just really hoping that all is well for Ali an her family!

I really like eating at Ali's, but it is too expensive. Maybe they need to high prices to be able to stay open. I pay over $12 for a sandwich. My girls love that they have lots of desserts to pick from. I love what they offer, but can only afford to go once in a blue moon.

Best gluten free baked goods you will find! I stop here before visiting my mom, she always requests I bring her a cinnamon swirl. Of course, I leave with many extras and a chocolate cupcake for myself!

One of the best Gluten Free stores in Pennsylvania! I just stopped by today and was floored by all the products they offered for my wife and I. We purchased everything for a week's worth of meals and the staff helped us pick everything out to accommodate our diets. (Both of us are Celiac) I can't say enough great things. They made us feel right at home. We will be returning once a week, (or day if my wife has any say in it).

Very sad day for this GF GIRL. Us Celiac's seek out FRIENDLY BUSINESSES that are safe to eat and this place was starting to be a great experience until the owner yelled over the counter to "Stop taking photos" and so I walked up to her to ask what the problem was only to get a lecture of how this is her "blood sweat and tears and she doesn't want me taking pictures of her products and stealing her trade secrets." When I explained that I post reviews/photos to this site, she was still nasty and totally ruined the whole experience with her attitude. The irony is that trade secrets are not in the photo, it is the recipe. She is NOT a very nice person and seems to not exercise a good business model to verbally attack your patrons due to your fears. I was a PAYING patron, not the enemy. Side note: the sandwiches are normal size at 11.49 and up. A cupcake sized cake was 7.99 -- WOW! I will NOT BE BACK...

I would not buy anything here again. Ordered a pizza for my son who has celiacs, and it was very small and barely had any cheese or toppings on it. If I pay $20 for a small pizza, it better have some toppings on it. When I was checking out the manager Paul was ignorant and had an overall bad attitude like he was doing me a favor by selling me a $20 pizza. They need to get new management that actually knows what quality service means. Hopefully people realize that they can buy most of this stuff at regular grocery stores for much less.

I decided to give this place a try, even though many people have told me to avoid it. I got a sandwich, which I paid $12 for, and it only had three pieces of lunch meat on it, and barely any other condiments!! $12 for a sandwich that I wouldn't even pay $5 for. Absolutely insulting that they would rip people off like this. While I was waiting for my sandwich they were trying their hardest to get me to buy their overpriced baked goods. It appears that they rip you off first, and then promote diabetes by trying to shove their sugary baked goods on you. I would never go back, nor would I recommend anyone spend their money here. RIP OFF!!!

This is by far the best place I have ever been to for gluten free!! I ate their cinnamon roll from the bakery and I must say, it was fantastic. Also tried the Italian sub, the best one I have ever had even when I didn't have to be gluten free! I would highly recommend coming here for anything, gluten free or not! The staff are great as well, and offered to help me when I told them i had never been there before, and even offered me a tour of the store! Now that is customer service at its finest. I will be back.

I am here weekly! Paul, Ali, and Melanie have changed my life in educating me on my gluten intolerance. They are life savers and their food is delicious. I am so blessed to have met them and have their wonderful store so close to home. Get the cinnamon muffin with white icing on top or an orange iced cookie. Their pizza and sandwiches are so good too!

Ali's Marketplace is amazing! The bakery items are absolutely delicious-- you would never know that they are gluten free. The sandwiches and pizza are also yummy. Not only that, but the staff is so friendly and helpful. Anytime I'm in the store, I feel so welcomed and appreciated. I would highly recommend Ali's Marketplace to anyone!!!

I have gone to this store a few times before and after they moved locations. As other reviews in this forum, I agree that the prices are extremely high, and the attitudes of some of the staff are insulting, and they act as if they are doing society a favor by allowing us to buy food from their store. The tall male manager is arrogant and seems to have a bad attitude towards customers, including myself. I think they forget that people are spending their hard earned money on products that are very overpriced. I do not recommend that anyone shops at this store!! You can get the same foods at other stores for much cheaper.

I've never been to a place where the employees had to ask other employees what was in their products! I can't believe the prices too! 3.99 for a cupcake?! Outrageous. I've never seen anything like it. The staff were very friendly for the most part and seemed to care, all though the woman running the bakery case was very uninformed. If you like to waste money, this is the place for you.

I don't know where I would be without Ali's Marketplace. I love walking into the store and feeling right at home surrounded by a variety of gluten free products. The baked goods are so delicious you wouldn't know it's GF. Sandwiches are great too, my favorites include the Veggie and the Italian. I'm so glad I came here first when I was diagnosed with Celiac because the staff is very kind and knowledgable. They are a little high in price but they have many items I don't have access to in my hometown.

Heaven on Earth! What an awesome experience my family and I had there today! We enjoyed breakfast sandwiches and to die for baked goods. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. one if the girls went through the products with my son who is an extremely picky gluten free celiac. We can't wait to return!

I went to this store after hearing that they have a large selection of gluten free options. But, a majority of their options are not only unhealthy, they are incredibly expensive. I went to the sandwich counter to try one of their sandwiches, but the staff basically ignored me for nearly 10 minutes!! Everyone seemed to be miserable that worked there, so I will spend my money at a different store next time. There are plenty of options out there. You would think the employees or owners would be happy that people are spending their hard earned money on their over priced groceries.

We just stopped in to Ali's Marketplace for a special lunch and dessert treat. We also shopped a bit in the store, but really were there to eat. They have absolutely amazing fresh food. I ordered the italian sub, per their suggestion. And my friend ordered the reuben. Our kids ordered the chicken nuggets and (dairy free) grilled cheese. Everyone loved everything! The nuggets were really quite good. Perfect for kids. Not too "peppery" or dry, which we've found many GF nuggets are. My italian was absolutely incredible. So incredible actually that my kids ate most of it. And my friend actually said that her reuben ranked in the top of all reubens she's eaten, even before celiac!

After lunch we got an assortment of treats from the bakery. Everything was moist and delicious. The chocolate donuts are incredible but rich. I don't think I could eat a whole one, but it was great to share. The cookies were good and soft. And the streusel muffin was delicious. Nothing tasted dry or "sandy" like some GF items.

There were also plenty of dairy free items on both the bakery and lunch menus and they were conscientious to list all other allergies present in their products. They also prep all dairy free items in a separate prep area too.

All in all we were very impressed with the food! We look forward to driving out that way every so often for lunch and a treat.

Honestly the best place on earth! I found this place about two years ago, when I first was diagnosed with a severe gluten intolerance. Never have I ever been disappointed! Paul, Ali, and Mel are such wonderful people. They are so helpful, friendly, and knowledgable on every product in their store. They'll never steer you wrong! The staff is also wonderful! Knowledgable on products, helpful, and welcoming. They are all aware of many food allergies (just not gluten!) I have been there numerous times inquiring information, and if they don't know off the top of their head, they will gladly look it up for you!! The baked goods are to die for (they don't last more than a half hour in my house, and I'm the only one gluten free!) The food service is also top notch! It's great to go into a place and not have to worry about a single thing! Absolutely the best of the best.

You don't get much for the amount of money you pay, and the food was just OK. Nothing special by any means. The staff was nice except for a man named Paul, who was rather rude to myself and some other customers. Seemed to have an overall bad attitude. And, they claim to support a healthy lifestyle, but the few times I was in the store they were practically begging me to buy their unhealthy bakery items. I would not recommend this store to anyone. You can get the same food at other stores, or make your own for a fraction of the cost.

It has a good selection but keep in mind this is a gluten-free store NOT a health food store. You will finds lots of sugar and carbs. Which is fine, just don't fool yourself.

It's great if you need to quickly pick up a pizza or treat yourself to a cupcake but other than that it is RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE. Instead of making the time to drive out here, just use Vitacost or Amazon to buy the same gluten free supplies for half the cost.

Also, most of their baked goods contain dairy, eggs and/or soy so you're better off going to Gluuteny if you have other allergies--I think their desserts are better anyways.

After reading reviews I was expecting to be wowed by this place. The staff was friendly and helpful, but in all I am rather disappointed. The groceries are overpriced, as well as the hot food items. $17 dollars for an order of bread sticks?! $1.50 per topping on an already $17 dollar pizza?! $8 dollars for a sandwich on a bun not much bigger than a hot dog bun?! There was no wow factor in the food, in fact it was almost tasteless. In my much smaller hometown in PA, the few gluten free options are not nearly as expensive.

As a 9 yr. old that is gluten free, it is hard for me to eat things that other kids eat. I even get made fun of in school b/c of this. However, I actually feel good again after feeling bad for a long time. Anyway, the Gluten Free Zone is AWESOME! I actually had pizza for the first time in a really long time. This shop was great and the staff was really nice and helpful. I wish there was a shop like this in the Philly, PA area. Thanks Gluten Free Zone and I'll be back!
