Gourmet House Restaurant

I’ve eaten here half a dozen times and haven’t had a reaction. Menu items are marked GF. It’s very much an American Chinese/fusion restaurant, not spicy at all (even my young child can eat the foods marked “spicy”), a bit sweet. But the prices are good and it feels relatively safe.

(Disclaimer: I generally avoid cross-contamination, shared fryer, but am not as extremely sensitive as some people here are. One bite of food with actual wheat in it (breading, soy sauce) will cause me to have an immediate immune reaction, however, so I have a decent sense of when I’ve been glutened within a few minutes.)

I was SO excited to have GF Chinese food and was so glad to see everything so clearly marked. However, I've ordered from here twice and got violently I'll both times. I only tried it a second time because I thought it might've been something else the first time that made me sick. Everything tasted good, but I think I'll stick to making my own.

Great food and everything is clearly marked on the menu! So awesome to be able to have Chinese from a family restaurant at great prices.

Was very excited to try this restaurant given the reviews and the very clearly marked menu. I called in my order and specifically said everything needed to be gluten free and I only order menu items marked “gluten free available”.

When I went to pick up my order, I gave them my name and when I was handed my bag the woman at the register said “everything gluten free right?” and I obviously responded yes!!! Then I got home and thought to myself, damn, this seems too good to be true!!! Welp it was….a an hour or so later, I was puking….end up sick all night.

I am celiac and very very very unfortunately won’t be eating here again. Hopefully this helps someone else!

UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME! Menu clearly shows what can be made GF and that includes soups, fried dumplings, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken etc etc! I eat here all the time and have NEVER gotten sick. Can’t recommend this place enough!
