This vegan restaurant has a gf labeled menu but only a subset of the labeled items don't have cross contamination. Everything fried is cross contaminated. Luckily the waitress was knowledgeable and helped me pick something safe. I had the Bowl Dos (rice, spinach, lentils, salsa, guac) and it was tasty and I did not get sick. So there are options, but not as many as I was excited about because the menus gf labels don't consider cross contamination.

Very excellent! Knowledgeable about safe Celiac friendly prep. And cashew cheese on tacos is a winner :) I've eaten here 3 times and always have felt safe- never been sick to report.
Yes
Nothing is marked GF on the menu, but the server told me almost everything on the menu is GF (3 items that night were not GF: tamales, caesar salad, and black bean burger). I ate totopos and the tacos and had no issues, and I have Celiac. I would go back.
Yes
I've ate here for many years but only a couple of times since being diagnosed two years ago (I live in the east bay now). I have not got sick these few times and I'm extremely sensitive. The food is GREAT! Talk to the manager and maybe don't eat non certified rice etc.
I got the flautas last night and got sick.
No
I have never ever gotten sick at Gracias Madre and I eat there two times a week. Delicious tacos.
They say there's only one thing on the menu with gluten. However, ingot sick here 3 times in a row. They were very careless.
I like meat in my Mexican food, but would choose this place over many non vegan places. Starter nachos were delicious and the corn totopos had a great corn flavor. Tacos with kale were unique and great. Margaritas were perfect with rocks and a salted rim.
Very hyped up. Not a great variety of food. There can be issues with wait time, drinks aren't great either. Layout of restaurant has you bumping into people a lot.
Their menu mainly caters to vegans but you can get some tasty GF items by ordering things with corn tortilla instead of flour. However, if you're looking for a meatier Mexican option you can get something cheaper and just as tasty at other Mission eateries since most serve corn tortillas.
