I love this location. As soon as we indicate there is a gluten allergy they automatically get a clean scoop and unopened bucket of ice cream to scoop from. The website lists all the gluten free flavors available. We feel safe eating here.

Really, really good ice cream. We found a list of gluten free ice cream online and told the server we needed an allergy protocol. The cleaned the scoops and got a fresh container. My dad and I are both celiac and didn’t have any issues eating here!

Looked up online which of their flavors are gluten free and was easy to find on their website. Told the young lady taking my order that I needed to be gluten free and requested fresh gloves and that mine be made from a fresh tub with fresh utensils. She must have been relatively new, but I was very impressed with what happened next. She went to the manager who I then watched train her step by step on what to do. They went to the back, came out with a fresh tub and a fresh scoop a few minutes later, and the manager walked her through the whole thing all while the store was quite busy. I felt extremely well taken care of and am very grateful for the care the manager took, and for the employee asking for help instead of just rushing through it since they were busy.

We just visited the winnetka location. We looked in the case with the prepackaged pints which are clearly labeled (many gf options) and the staff opened new cartons with clean scoops for us.

I have Celiac Disease and I can easily say that I have never had a problem here. If you ask for an “allergy scoop” then the staff will sanitize the scoopers, grab a new bucket of ice cream that hasn’t been used, and wash their hands. Also there are a ton of gluten free flavors!
