I was excited to try this place because it’s listed as dedicated GF, but be aware that it is not. The food items are advertised as being completely dairy free and gluten free, but the drink items (specifically alcoholic) are not.

I didn’t order a drink here, but I got the Orange Line with lemongrass steak and a pan fried dumpling- about 30 minutes after eating I was bloated (VERY bloated) and soon had full on stomach symptoms. Not sure how that could have happened from their food, but I hadn’t eaten anything else in several hours. The food was tasty- Chipotle quality. Celiacs be cautious.

Amazing dedicated gluten and dairy free fast casual restaurant. It’s so nice being able to order without worrying and triple checking everything will be GF. I also appreciate having tofu and Impossible meatballs as proteins.

Amazing teriyaki bowl and green goddess salad! I loved walking in knowing I could order anything on the menu. Good portions and great taste.

Awesome! The whole joint is GF! When I told the server I was Celiac she said, “You are safe here.” Those are wonderful words to hear in this world where there are still people who reply with, “Your sealy what?” I had the OG bowl with chicken. Delicious! I will be back.

I’ve eaten here twice now, both times felt completely safe. They have no gluten ingredients so no room for error. I also emailed them in advance and they told me their soy sauce is GF too. Lots of yummy options!

I really want to like this place because it’s conveniently located and a dedicated GF restaurant. For the price, I’d expect the food to taste a little better, but it’s good enough in a pinch. I’ve heard the tacos are good and I’ve ordered the bowls in the past, which are fine.

Everything is GF so it's completely safe. The food is good - I usually get the tacos or poke but the bowls are also decent. They even have GF desserts. It's a fast casual/counter service place so more of a spot for takeout than a sit down meal.

All ingredients (and there are many options) are gluten free, so you are free to choose anything you want to create your bowl/taco to customize your flavor. Very good food and no reaction afterwards. Highly recommend!

This place has AMAZING food. They say everything on their menu is gluten free and I think dairy free too. They have a super helpful allergen chart in their website (but it’s not accessible from a phone) so you can see allergen information by individual ingredient. I’m obsessed.

As a family new to gluten free life, Grainmaker has been wonderful. Having a dedicated gluten-free facility takes the anxiety level down.

We've had some issues with online ordering not getting processed, but never an issue with contamination or with the food itself.

Most importantly, they have gluten-free dumplings which my daughter loves.

Delicious and safe! I've been a customer of both establishments and both are easy and convenient to meet a friend for a quick bite. The bowls are a LOT of food but very tasty, and I'm also a big fan of the tacos. 10/10 would recommend!

Their advertisement stating, “all ingredients are 100% dairy free & gluten free” was so exciting to me! I felt safe, normal, and like I didn’t have to explain my restrictions ordering there. It was refreshing. The food was delicious, and surprisingly filling. Definitely recommend the mango salsa and plantain chips. :)

Unfortunately outdoor dining wasn’t set up for lunch when we went, but ordered pick-up thru website and found a park nearby. Lots of great and tasty options. Maybe influenced by how hard it is for us to ever find them anywhere else, but the dumplings were terrific. Would definitely go again if in the area.

Yay, a dedicated gluten free restaurant in Somerville!! So nice to order anything and not worry about a shared fryer or cross contact. The dumplings are AMAZING! Many vegan and dairy free options as well. The rice noodles are great and they even have gluten free desserts!

I’ve heard so much about Grainmaker as this is the second location for this local Boston concept. The food is amazing and they even serve cider on tap if you’d like a beverage to compliment your meal. Sometimes the line is long but it moves quickly. My wife and I absolutely love this place 10/10

We had two of their bowls last night, and both tasted off-putting. The tofu tasted sour and was definitely past its prime, and some of the vegetables (kale and bok choy) tasted foul too. I wish I could give a place that’s totally GF a better rating but serving food that’s clearly not fresh anymore is pretty bad.
