***PLEASE READ MY EDIT. It got worse...*** No dedicated fryer, but I was assured that it “was fine.” Big nope. I hope they were gluten-free, as I was told they were, but the chicken skewers are great and I didn’t get sick. The staff were flummoxed by a simple GF soy sauce question, which was not promising. My salad came with fries and crispy onions, so I couldn’t eat it. Nice. I will never be able to order their food again. At least there’s ice cream? [Well, no, actually.]

*** EDITED TO ADD.... I’m adding this a few weeks later: I AM NEVER, EVER, EVER going to buy anything at this place ever again. I went there with my kids today to get ice cream, and nicely and apologetically asked if they would please clean the scoop for us. We also ordered GF cones. CUE THE EYE ROLLS from the Grassroots staff taking out order, and her reminding me that they can’t guarantee that there wouldn’t be cross contamination. Yeah thanks, I know. My peach ice cream had a chunk of chocolate in the edge of it, indicating an obviously not cleaned scoop, as neither of my kids had chocolate chunk anything in their orders... I didn’t get really sick, but I didn’t feel great later... I will definitely not bother with this place ever again. It’s just not worth it. They obviously don’t need any celiacs as customers, so I’ll make sure to not trouble them ever again.
