This guy was so rude. I walked in and said.. I see you have a sign up for gluten free... and he says "are you celiac?" I said "yes..." proceeds with dirty, mean look and shakes head no.
Um... please don't have a movie sized poster in your window about gluten free if you don't offer gluten free items that are safe to eat. Rude.

Went in as there are giant signs saying that they have gluten free bread and pastries in the front windows. I picked out a small tea cake ($7) and as I hand my card to the register worker, he asks if I’m celiac. I reply that I’m gluten intolerant. He says basically that there is flour everywhere and cross contamination is probable. I asked if the ingredients were gluten free and he replied with yes, but stuff happens. So I leave with the bread since I had already paid for it, and I am not great with social stuff. I guess I should have just canceled the transaction. I had a small piece with coffee this morning, and it doesn’t taste good enough to risk the gluten possibility so I’m not going to eat more and can’t properly assess the contamination this one time. It’s super sweet and strange tasting. But, you all should know that they don’t stand by their gluten free products being anywhere near gluten free, and anyone on this app for gluten making them sick and not just a trend diet should probably avoid. Why they have a huge sign in the window advertising their gluten free bread is a mystery.

If you have celiac, be very careful about this place. I haven't eaten here for years because I was consistently glutened. I don't see how they can have a gluten free sign in a regular gluten bakery.

Such great homemade bread, amazing paninis! Awesome cookies and pastries.

Call ahead otherwise plan on it being a wasted drive. Purchased soda bread, shortcake and biscotti because that is all the had. The bread was lacking in flavor. The short cake and biscotti were definitely better.
Edit: They had regular shortbread mixed in with gluten free items. Didn’t discover until I got sick from it. My fault for not reading label but had grabbed from the gluten free shelf.
I am gluten free but fortunately I can frequent restaurants that may have potential for cross contamination. This is a risk I consider my responsibility to determine for myself. I appreciate that not everyone can take that riskbutl I have ordered and eaten here many many times in the past. For some reason today the cashier is Not willing to serve me as I asked if the chicken salad was gluten free. Apparently they will not assume the risk of me possibly getting sick. Folks, I'm in a bread store, I know the risk I am willing to order, pay and consume the food but apparently the cashier felt she was not comfortable selling me a sandwich? Today is the day I stop eating here and will be sure to let everyone I know why. That's ridiculous. They offer gluten free bread but won't serve people who ask to clarify what items are gluten free?

I go here almost every Sunday. They have whole grain gluten free breads and GF treats. I’ve never gotten sick on the Sunday bake. They also have a large assortment of GF soup mixes.
