see update below: The staff and manager were amazing the first visit: My daughter has celiac and didn’t feel sick after. She had the queso chicken, queso, Baked chips and a strawberry daiquiri. We were impressed. ***Update: after this we ordered two more times. Each time the order was not correct. They put rice one time and then the next time it was flour quesadillas. I tried to talk to the manager to order and was completely blown off. They even had us pay for a new order when they did the flour quesadillas the first time. Nobody cared when I called to tell them. Completely disappointed.
I've heard mixed things about their table chips, so I always ask for the baked chips. They take a few minutes to bake, so definitely order more before you're done. There aren't many food options except for things with chicken, but the salsas are gluten free and so is the queso (w/ ground beef, which rocks) & guacamole. I go all the time for queso, salsa, and the Fresca margarita.

Our server, Roxy, made it a point to accommodate our GF needs, she told us how we could modify the kid's menu to make the nachos GF.
While the menu is somewhat limiting, the kitchen and servers were helpful and made it a point to make the food delicious and GF.
I usually come here and have success with chips and queso, a margarita an maybe a salad since there aren't many actual options that make a full meal (can't do fajitas because the corn tortillas are not gluten free). Well, looking at their gluten free guide I decided to get a fajita bowl (not on their gf guide) but made adjustments to it as my server confirmed to me would be gf.. no rice and no tortillas. I asked for chicken because that is my meat of choice. Well, I got my bowl and after a few bites realized it was steak (which is not gf there!) by this time my server had switched and it was not my new server who had made the mistake. all she did was bring me the correct bowl. grrr!! the original server who made me feel so confident in my selection.. and now I am ill. I am not sure if we will be returning or not

Not impressed with the gluten free menu. They provide a separate menu, but then in fine print they let you know to avoid certain food items that are on the menu. For instance, enchiladas are on the gf menu, but you have to get them without the tortilla. Hmm...what's an enchilada without a tortilla? Definitely not one of my favorite places to go.

Excellent separate Gluten free menu with many more choices than expected. Red and green salsa and chile con queso are all Gluten free and they have baked chips that my wife really enjoyed! Overall a great experience that my wife could enjoy worry free.
Gluten-free menu with quite a few options. Knowledgeable staff. We eat here every time we’re in town

I have eaten at Gringos La Porte many times and I have not had any issues. I eat the table chips with green sauce and red sauce, for my entree I get the shrimp avocado southwest salad with no tortilla strips and the margarita vinaigrette dressing. I have also gotten the house margarita .
