Visiting Austin/San Marcos and this is a great find! Everything is gluten free except for the buns, but you can get Gf buns. Everything in the fryer is GF. My son was so happy to get fries and nuggets! Starting a petition to get this in the north east!

I can’t even tell you how many happy tears welled up asking my usual very aggressive gluten questions of the cashier. They have Celiac and CC down! The manager’s mom has it, so he totally gets it. I had a fried chicken sandwich for the first time in almost 7 years! And onion rings from a dedicated fryer. They changed gloves and prepared my sandwich in their dedicated GF portion of there kitchen. Awesome, awesome experience. Please expand into Northern California so I can visit more often!

So glad to have discovered Hat Creek Burger Company in San Marcos. I was diagnosed with celiac disease almost 20 years ago and it has been a struggle to find eating establishments that understand eating gluten free. Hat Creek Burger Company has many gluten free options, almost anything on the menu can be made gluten free. They have several delicious sauces to put on your gluten free chicken sandwich, hamburger, or chicken nuggets. The only sauce that is not gluten free is the Happy Sauce. I eat there regularly and have never had an issue.

I’m celiac and while the boy at register didn’t know much the manager on duty did. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was so good! Everything on their menu can be made gf. The fries were delicious and so were their dipping sauces! Will definitely go back if ever given the chance!

I am celiac and they were very aware of gluten issues. Their fryers are gluten free. Their chicken nuggets are gluten free and they have a GF bun. I like the paleo bowl

The menu states which items are gluten-free. All the sauces are gluten free, all the fried items are gluten free & they have gluten free buns…YAY! The chicken sandwich was so yummy. The fries and tots were perfect! I definitely be going back during my trip here ❤

We are visiting from Chicago and it’s been a struggle to find GF safe food. The employee taking our order was very knowledgeable! For the celiac’s with us we were excited to learn that they had GF buns and all things fried are made with GF flour! We all had an excellent lunch! The burgers and chicken are excellent. 2 of their special sauces are GF and we were so happy to be able to eat fries too!

I had the chicken nuggets and they were awesome! As soon as you walk in the menu is displayed on the wall and it states which items are gluten-free. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in the area.

Love the chicken flashers and fries! All the sides are gluten free. Ketchup is Heinz so that's safe too. Service is great and so is the food!

Amazing!! They had so many GF options. All of the side items are GF as are the flash fried chicken nuggets. We enjoyed all of our food! They even have GF milkshakes and a dedicated mixer for the milkshakes!!

Everything is gf except the buns and one sauce! They offer corn tortillas for breakfast items. My favorite is their fried pickles. They even have gluten free chicken nuggets!! Real breaded ones, not grilled! So excited to have a drive-thru safe option! Counter service on the inside. Have been here multiple times have not gotten sick!

So grateful to find this place while on a road trip south! Everything here is gluten-free except the buns and happy sauce. We love the tots, fried pickles, and lettuce wrapped burgers! Great stop for kids to get out and run around :)
