Herons (Umstead Hotel)

Herons does have a GF menu and the chefs will customize for allergens. The price fixed menu of 4 courses plus GF bread is a big treat. It’s an experience. We ordered room service also which probably comes from a different kitchen. We had good luck with this except the steak with barley order said “gluten free” as a request, but the plate came with the barley. Luckily it wasn’t the celiac’s plate…. But I do usually try a bite of my husbands food.
