I enjoyed the roasted chicken and potato salad. I ordered a side of vegetables. The chicken was really delicious. I was happy to get steamed vegetables-broccoli, carrots, cauliflower. They’re supposed to be seasonal. It’s a tourist trap, but definitely a favorite on our trip. Also, it’s open seating, so you have to walk around and grab a spot. Some are shared tables.

No GF beer 😢. Had an allergen menu upon request which showed what contained gluten and other common allergens. Mostly meat items so a good amount of items were GF. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Overall great experience, would go back.

They said to enquire at the cashier about allergens and additives in food, but I enquired but the cashier didn’t seem to know what I was asking.
There is very little signage in person or on their website.
I asked another employee and they said they didn’t have gluten free food

I’m not sure why the rating for this place seem to be kind of negative. I ate here three different times and had a good experience each time. The first time I had bratwurst and sauerkraut and the other two times I had boiled veal sausage. The veal sausage was so good! No gluten free beer, but they have a nice selection of wine. Overall it’s fun, rowdy, and loud!

Didn't exactly inspire confidence for GF safety, but I'm glad we went for the iconic experience. They had an allergen menu that lists whether each menu item includes gluten, but that doesn't necessarily cover cross contamination.

I don’t know why this is rated so well. It’s insanely expensive and the food was meh. I got smoked pork and it was dry and didn’t have flavor. I come from Texas and have had better there. Then they also want a tip (which is not culturally a thing). We spend 100 euros for very little food that was not impressive. The wait staff was ok. Overall not impressed for the money.

Great experience. There is a QR code on the back of the normal menu and you can check their gluten free offers there (a1, a2, a3 and a4 are the codes used for cereals containing gluten). I am celiac and I ordered Kartoffelsalat (potato salad) and the typical Münchener Weißwürste (white sausages) with sweet mustard. Had 0 problems ordering and the server was friendly, but it is a shame they don’t offer any gluten free beer.

If you ask for an allergens menu and they say they don't have one, BE PERSISTENT. They absolutely do have one and your waiter may be too disinterested to find you one. I had to literally walk away from the table threatening to find a manager before our waiter agreed to find me an allergens menu. It's in German only, but it's easy to figure out because it's the exact same format as the regular English menu. I had the potato pancakes then the bratwurst with sauerkraut and it was fantastic! More importantly, no GI problems afterwards. Be aware this is no place to go for a quiet conversation. It's loud, boisterous, and completely messy fun! Even if you're celiac, go enjoy a cult-favorite German restaurant!

It really depends upon your server. The first time we went we were not offered any gf options. The second time the server overheard that we needed gf for someone in our group. He brought an allergen menu that was in English and quite thorough. My daughter who is highly sensitive Celiac had the little bratwurst platter with kraut and zero issues. We had a great experience. ASK FOR THE ALLERGEN MENU😊.

My first time here was unfortunately not good because the server didn’t know anything about gluten free options. However, went back a second time and had an amazing experience our server was very knowledgeable about the allergies and gave us and English menu for all allergies. I had the plate of sausages with sauerkraut and horseradish! Felt completely fine with being celiac. No gluten free beer but wine was just as good!!!

There was an allergen menu (only in German) but we were able to work out the options based on the English menu. Food was a good standard and my wife wasn't sick (she normally gets really sick with slightest exposure to gluten).

Possibly my worst dining experience. The server was more than rude, he was downright mean. He also pretended not to speak English. I know I’m in Germany, so I don’t expect people to speak English, but if they do speak English, and I need help, it’s mean to pretend you can’t. Anyhow, I asked if anything was gluten free and the server told me the fried asparagus. I questioned him, and he said it was. When I received my meal it was wheat dumplings stuffed with minced asparagus. Wasted money. They brought out the wrong drinks and we couldn’t get the correct ones. My family’s food was not very good. When it came time to pay I left a 5% tip, because the waiter said I had to leave a tip, and I just wanted out. Then (in perfect English) he started yelling at me for the amount I left. He wouldn’t run my credit card unless I gave him a bigger tip. We went across the street and paid for a second dinner at Hard Rock Cafe.

The food was very tasty. There were few options. I ordered classic white wine, 1/2 chicken and potato salad and it was very good. I have celiac and I did not get sick. I went during corona virus and I was unable to obtain their allergen menu. The waiter spoke little English but between my little German and his little English we thought the chicken would be the best option.
Fun atmosphere! Good wine.

Terrible experience. We try to give them a chance, I can tolerate bad service if I know my food would be safe, but this restaurant win the price for worst servicie in the world. They give me a bad face when I asked for the allergin menu (which I know they have because it says in the website) and then they said didn’t have it, so I asked for the gluten free options and they told there are none. Which I know for the other reviews they do have. I was going to relax with my friends, let them eat but everyone wanted to go. They don’t want to attend you at all.
Our server was very kind and accommodating, and brought me an English Allergen Menu right away. My husband and I got the roast 1/2 chicken with potato salad (all gluten and dairy free) and the four sausage with sauerkraut plate, and all I couldn’t eat was the pork sausage because it contained lactose. Highly recommend!
Yes
Lost a star because our waiter knew nothing. He reluctantly checked on GF options and then told us 3 options that were very obviously NOT GF. After asking for their allergen list, we were able to sort it out. All restaurants in EU should have an allergen list if not listed on their menu. Choices were a little limited - but sufficient. It was awesome to be able to spend an evening there. Food was delicious.

I got the roasted pork knuckle, which was gluten free and very tasty. I did not see any gluten free beers, but the wine was good. The place was very lively, and the oompah band played every 15min. The music was great and not too overwhelming. However, be aware that the place gets packed and very loud. Overall it was a great experience! Hints: You basically walk in and sit down at any table. You must flag down your server when you are ready to order. Each server is assigned a section of the restaurant, so the other servers will not come to your table, so make sure you keep track of your own server.
I eat chicken breast with potato salad, it’s the only thing in the menu gf. The food was ok but the atmosphere in this place is awesome
1/2 chicken breast oven roasted no sides. Nima tested safe.
