Magnificent! Holy Hola! Outstanding hot honey chicken arepa. We also tried the beef but it was tough and hard to chew, maybe steer away from this particular arepa. Foster was our server and he was great! I would recommend getting reservation.

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Server assured me this was a safe place for those with celiac. Pork belly arepa, yucca fries, and little cheese breads were all amazing. 80ish for two with drinks.

Really enjoyed everything I had! One of the best arepas I’ve had in a long time, and I felt completely safe eating it since 99% of their menu is gf. Looking around at what other tables ordered made me excited to go back and try more.
What I tried and recommend:
Pork and black bean arepa (pork was cooked really well!)
Yucca fries (best I’ve ever had)
Sweet plantain appetizer (sauce it came with was so good!)

The eliminated the glutenous dessert on the menu, so this place is no entirely, naturally gluten free! It is delicious! Great spot for any sit down meal! The arepas are the perfect size.

Awesome! I went for lunch and everything on the lunch/dinner menu is gluten free (if I’m remembering correctly!). I was so impressed with the flavor of the salsas in the chips and salsa appetizer and the arepas were amazing! I will be back!

Everything on the menu is gluten free, with the exception of one dessert. That dessert is made off-site and they said they’re really careful with cross contamination.

Excellent for brunch! Lots of good cocktails and mocktails. Instead of having gluten free items marked, they had items that *aren't* gluten free marked. The whole menu is gluten free! The only thing on the menu that had gluten when I visited was an ice cream sandwich.

i’ve decided I love yuca fries (as long as they’re still warm)! Drinks are fun, empanadas are awesome, and everything we’ve had is delicious (several kinds of arepas, moqueca soup). I had to get used to crunchy things in my pot-de-creme but if I think of it as a budino, it’s all good! The staff assured me the kitchen is dedicated and the few desserts that aren’t GF are made off-site and brought in for service)

Holy cannoli Hola Arepa is not a run-of-the-mill arepa place. It is very much an elevated experience in food and fusions. Their mocktail and brunch menu was so impressive with flavor and presentation that I must try them at least 5 more times this week to get the full experience of the genius behind this place. Very gluten free and celiac safe. Three people at the counter bar dining separately were celiacs.

My celiac child and I LOVE this place! Almost everything is GF. I think the only non-GF item is the graham cracker crumbs on one dessert. It is probably a good thing that we don’t live closer because we would be there all the time!

Great gluten free meal! I had the chimichuri chicken arepa and it was delicious. I inquired about cross contamination (even though the menu stated most of the items were gluten free) and they told me everything was safe! No bad after effects except a very full tummy!

So so so good! Almost all the food is gluten free (just a dessert is the exception I believe), and it is so delicious! Only tiny con was that my waiter seemed a bit put off when I asked him to mark it for an allergy - he told me back that it was gluten free (as is almost the whole menu), and I had to reiterate a few times that I needed it to be really safe for me. I didn’t really feel like it was taken seriously by my waiter, but I think the restaurant as a whole does, and the risk is so low since there’s only one thing with gluten. Overall great food!

OMG! Everything is GF. I wanted to try everything. Everything sounded awesome. I settled on the Cuban. I'm only here for 4 days with lots of plans ...can't wait to go back. I also want to try their sister restaurant. It was so yummy. You need this restaurant in your life if you are GF

Food was outstanding. Staff was great. Are here twice on our weekend in Minneapolis. I’m pretty sure they said there was only one thing on the menu at the time that had gluten. It was a dessert. Felt very comfortable Will definitely be back

Hola Arepa has made me feel confident in their knowledge of cross-contamination and celiac each time I have gone there. There are a lot of options for not only gluten free but also dairy free and vegan. Love the yuca fries and would highly recommend!

Absolutely divine food! The specialty drinks were a bit small, but tasty and quite alcoholic. I have never written a review before, but between the unparalleled food and the alcohol, I am absolutely compelled…
The menu is pretty much entirely Gluten free - minus the ice cream sandwich. No matter, as I tried a vegan mango pudding for dessert (I also try to avoid much dairy) that I could only describe as happiness. I could not stop thinking about this fantastic mango chia seed pudding after eating it!
Also had the Brussels Sprouts, which I’ve tried once at home before, and hated. This time, I was dumbfounded as to how good they were. Don’t ever try them any other way, unless you really know how to make them, but Hola Arepa really, really does.
I also had a specialty shrimp aguachile plate that is available for a limited time. I can’t explain how all of the ingredients made it so good, but after the entire meal, I felt like I should leave my English/Norwegian heritage, and learn more about Venezuela. My wife also very much enjoyed her slow roasted pork arepa. This place and this food is a gem, nothing like you’ve ever had elsewhere in Minnesota, and absolutely worth experiencing, more than once.

If you are celiac and have been missing authentic Latin street food (including the staple chips and salsa, arepas, and fried yuca!) then this is for you. Everything except one dessert item is gluten free and it is an accent ingredient so risk of any cross contamination is super low. The flavors are delicious and everything is fresh. You can experience flavorful and safe gluten free cuisine here. Always make this a restaurant stop when I am in the Twin Cities.

Excellent food, good service. We had several small plates and all were fantastic, as were the entrees.
Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Mostly everything is GF so makes dining less stressful and normal. Used my Nima sensor to test the gf smore chocolate cake and results were GF! :) Food is delicious!

Terrific food, atmosphere and great service! My husband is celiac and he had no bad reaction. It was refreshing to be able to suggest that he could try a bite from my plate because everything is gluten free unless marked!

Amazing food!! I generally consume reviews but seldom create them. This place was so good I had to post a review. It exceeded our expectations.
Everything was GF except some things on the dessert menu. Love the atmosphere!

Children’s menu very affordable. Great potion size. We loved the variety of salsas, pork and sweet potato arepas. Good local cider on tap. Beautiful tropical decor. Friendly, attentive wait staff.
