Called ahead and asked if they did Celiac friendly GF options. Hostess said there was pancake, waffle, and toast options. I asked how they prepared their GF option. Hostess checked with a manager and said that they have a separate part of the grill for GF. I was a bit skeptical (worried about cross contamination).
When I ordered, I asked the wait staff if they would cook the GF pancakes in a separate clean pan and change gloves before handling. I only ordered the pancakes. The wait staff said they would have a manager go back in the kitchen and make sure the cooking staff did it the way I requested. Brought out the GF pancakes first before the other orders.
Very accommodating and helpful. I did not get sick and had a good experience with Honey Jam Cafe.

I ordered a sweet potato chorizo skillet. It came on hash browns, with peppers and onions, and eggs on top. It was delicious! And I was very happy. My kids ordered gf waffles. None of us got sick. I would definitely go back here.

I eat here at least once a month minimum, sometimes more often, and have for at least several years. They are now “Honey-Jam Cafe”, after being taken over or bought out, but the menu has not significantly changed nor has the high quality of the food or the good training of the waitstaff when I tell them I am celiac and am ordering GF. One of the very very few places where I’ve ever gotten a GF Belgian waffle - and a really good tasting one too. Also GF pancakes available. Portions are large and generous for the price. I’m a super sensitive celiac, I’ll have a reaction to cross contamination or whatever within 15-45 minutes, I’ve never gotten sick there in all my visits, both under the Butterfield’s name nor the new Honey-Jam mantel. Cannot recommended highly enough. My favorite breakfast/brunch place in the area.
— Gluten-free items are marked on the main menu
Go early on the weekends, or later - avoid the typical lunch/brunch rush. Especially on Sundays, beware of the post-church rush time. Otherwise your wait time to get seated will be way longer than any other time.
The secret to happiness in life is (you guessed it) BUTTER. like butter, Butterfield's is a place that is not only gluten free, but savory and delicious and I would have no reason to live unless it existed. Not once have I gotten sick, unless love sick after filling my belly full of choco choco chip pancakes counts.
