I had bacon, eggs and grits. They were good. I was still hungry and ordered a fruit cup. The cup had batter dripping off over the side of it. I don’t think it’s safe. It’s a small kitchen and they are very busy. There’s probably flour everywhere. The lady up front also wants to know “how bad” your allergy is. Which I said bad but maybe I should’ve just said I was celiac. Either way, both should be taken seriously and it’s very awkward to have to explain your symptoms to a person you just met.

They offer GF waffles (which are amazing!) And pancakes. Ensured no cross contamination. Also allowed for substitutions so you could have other dishes on the GF option. Highly recommend!

Had the gf waffle (yesterday and today). It was very delicious. Didn’t feel like I was cross contaminated.

Low key vibe, go in with patience and you will not be disappointed! Comfort food galore. No GF specific menu however waitress helps find GF items. Will definitely go back for brunch! Note: I am not a celiac.

Super cute place definitely recommend for coffee and for juice, but they said nothing is safe for celiac. They won’t clean the waffle iron in between use but the batter is 100% gf. They also said there’s plenty of flour all over the kitchen and cannot guarantee anything made in house but coffee.

This is the cheers of New Orleans. Great local spot that has a bayou decor vibe. Do yourself a favor and get the Guatemalan breakfast....you will not be sorry! My Abuela was from Guatemala, and this breakfast is gluten free with corn tortillas & the real deal. The owner and her sister are great! Family owned and straight from the heart. The cook is the most wonderful man as well. Skip the tourist traps and go to where the locals go! The service, food, and drinks are top notch!

I have celiacs and ate their gluten free waffle with no issues!

The gluten free waffle (with chocolate chips) was wonderful. Only a few other GF breakfast items though, but worth a stop. Please note I’m gluten intolerant, not celiac so I can’t speak to cross contamination.

Yum! So happy to find this gem. Eating a gluten free chocolate chip waffle as I type this.
