Really cute college town atmosphere with an interesting menu. It doesn't seem like they had a dedicated gf fryer. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on a gluten free bun. It came with breaded and fried shallots on the sandwich (that the waitress never mentioned when I placed my order). I only discovered this after eating some of the sandwich. After flagging down the waitress, she said it was a gluten free breading but that it wasn't cooked in a dedicated gluten free fryer. This also made me question the fries that came as a side that were labeled on the menu as gluten free... I didn't really feel very safe eating here and wouldn't go back. Overall, the food tasted only ok.

They have a dedicated vegetarian fryer which happens to also be dedicated gluten free (at least right now - I would ask each time anyway). All of the dishes we had were delicious and big and felt very safe. 10/10 recommendation!!!

Traveling through town I always rely on my Find Me Gluten Free app to find good GF places to eat. This place was great. We sat outdoors on a beautiful day, menu had many GF options, food came quickly and was good. Even my fussy husband, who is not GF, liked it.

First, the menu online that listed many items as GF, is not the menu that you get when seated. The menu we received only had fish tacos and a salad listed as GF. The staff did not seem particularly educated in GF foods and I have my fingers crossed that my husband doesn’t get sick from cross contamination. Another downside was we were seated inside and had 4-5 flies buzzing around while we ate. Swatting flies while eating doesn’t make for an enjoyable meal. The place has a quirky, college bar feel to it and cleanliness factor to go with it. However, the food was delicious and so were the cocktails we ordered. I wouldn’t consider this place child friendly unless you sat outside. As far as recommending for gf eating, eat at your own risk.

My burger was good, fries came out cold on a very hot day. I’m also allergic to onions and even though I asked for no onion, it was still on my burger. Made me worried about their level of safety in the kitchen. It was busy when I was there- I’d suggest only going on slow days. I had a small reaction I think due to overworked staff. Friendly service, and they were confident in their ability to talk through their offerings.

Just enjoyed some delicious “small plates” from Huckleberry in New Paltz NY. Highly recommend this restaurant for food, staff, gf choices and vibe. We had: hand cut sea salt fries w garlic aioli; fried brussel sprouts w sea salt & chipotle mayo; hummus w marinated chickpeas, spicy zhoug, grilled pita & pickled veggies; hand cut rosemary parmesan fries w ketchup. We will be back this evening for “large plates”!

Yummy food and drinks in a quirky and great atmosphere with both the staff and the selection of other patrons we interacted with all being friendly and fun. Some fire pits kept people a little warmer. Busy place and we were lucky to get a table. Many items on the menu are gf, or can be modified to become and the waiter asked questions on cross contamination when I ordered.

I have celiac disease and this restaurant was very accommodating. The cheeseburger was delicious. I had a gluten-free bun and gluten-free fries. I assume the fries were cooked separately from any gluten because I felt fine afterwards. I highly recommend.

Items marked gluten free. Got the herb fries with sea salt. Very good. Was told dedicates fryer in terms of only gluten free and vegan foods in those fryers but next to regular fryers. No issues though.

Great gf options! Sat at the bar, things were clearly labeled and the bartender was very friendly
Yes
The menu erroneously designates many cross-contaminated items as GF. There is no dedicated fryer. The waitress told me the former bartender with Celiac ate the fries without reaction. No thanks! I was able to order a safe meal that was fine, but not spectacular.
they do not have a dedicated fryer but the waitress told me everyone was fine after eating the fries. not really celiac friendly
No
Lived the vibe and the food was delicious. I have allergies to gluten, dairy, egg, and soy. The dedicated fryer opened up lots of options for me. The cauliflower cakes were delicious, as were the fried Brussels sprouts (which come with about one million Brussels sprouts). The restaurant is on the second floor and the wait staff didn’t bat an eye when having to run up and down the stairs with questions for the kitchen about allergens. We will definitely come back the next time we’re in New Paltz.
Great variety of gluten free and vegetarian options. Dedicated fryer, gluten free rolls for sandwiches and tasty drinks. The atmosphere is also excellent with casual outdoor seating. It’s a must if you are in the area!! Can’t wait to go back.

this was the easiest time ive had getting food for all my dietary restrictions ever. not only do i have celiac but im also allergic to eggs and nuts, which is annoying as well. all i did was ask about gluten free options and tell him i was also allergic to eggs and the meal was absolutely perfect. i wish there was one of these closer to me. the aesthetic of this place is amazing and they're so nice and accomodating. absolutely would suggest to anyone.

The bar staff was knowledgeable, the menu had plenty of gf options, and the food was delicious, as was the on tap cider. Definitely recommend if you are in This area of the Catskills. And on top of this the restaurant itself is warm and cozy and inviting.

Pretty good. The gluten free burger and roll was great. I really liked the atmosphere but wasn't too keen on ordering at the bar. My father in law said he thought the ribs were the best he's ever had.
The fryer is NOT gf. so anything fried that is marked on the menu is not strictly gf. I asked and they said the fryer is vegetarian but not gf. I love the vibe and the food here.
Great little cafe. You can eat inside or outside on a nice garden patio. Half the menu is gluten free items that are clearly marked. They make a point to say that they have a dedicated frier right on the menu. GF buns available!
