The man who helped me (I believe it was the manager?) was very helpful and was able to answer all of my questions. One noodle option is gluten free but had other noodles thrown in accidentally, they were able to get me new noodles from the back! All of their sauces except for the soy sauce is gluten free. I was skeptical since a few of the sauces I used contained soy sauce but I did not get sick!
I went into HuHot today and the service was 5 star! I told our server that I had a gluten allergy, that I could not eat anything with wheat. He handed me a list of all the items they have at the food bar showing all the allergens and what was gluten free. Apparently all there sauces are gluten free which is great! He also went to the back to get me some special bowls that are separate from all the other bowls. He informed the kitchen staff and they cleaned the entire grill top for me and used cleaned spatulas for just my food. It was like I had my own personal cook/kitchen. They were very accommodating and very friendly! I was recently diagnosed with celiac. This place is on my restaurant food list! Good place if you're a celiac!

I have always love HuHot and I was very excited to eat there and not worry about getting sick. I jist told the waitress and she brought me out a special bowl and let the cook know. I could eat everything but the soy sauce and 2 out of 3 noodles. I was awesome!
HuHot does not have a gluten free menu but does have an allergen list and a list of gluten free sauces. Ask them to clean a spot on the grill and use different utensils, if necessary.
Good restaurant. Items can be picked off the bar gluten free, but if you are worried about cross contamination, they will pull the items out of the refrigerator for you. There are sauces available also. Their website provides info, and they have a chart available upon request
Had good food, was given a ‘special bow’ to signal food allergy, crew took care to clean grill before cooking my food and used clean utensils.

Unfortunately they must’ve changed their sauces. They used to all be gluten free but now only about 5 are. They still section off your meal on the grill and use new utensils when preparing!

I’ve been here a few times and always love it! Ask for an allergy bowl and they’ll give you a special yellow bowl to fill with your desired ingredients. You can choose whatever you like and everything is that is gf marked. Sometimes it’s marked with a “G” which confused me at first, but means gluten free. They also have recipe cards at the beginning of the line including a few gf recipes you can try!
The employees are very knowledgeable about allergies and I never have to ask them to clean anything. They see my yellow bowl and immediately clean and section off the grill so my food does not come into contact with anything else on the grill.

So this restaurant has notes in the menu (and in the bathrooms) about their various allergy protocols… they all sound nice, but fall short in practice. If you have any allergy, they’ll clean and reserve a section of the grill, and pull food direct from the kitchen to avoid cross-contamination. (yay!) And then the grill chefs toss the food all around and scrape their spatulas on the same gluten-covered surface where they scrape all of their other food. And really, how clean was that grill anyway? If you’re sensitive, this place seems like a disaster. Also, the food wasn’t very good, but that’s a whole other conversation…
