This place did not impress a lot of uncertainty about their products. Was told the mash potatoes where not gf. Even instant mash is gf so what kind of mash are they using? Makes me believe they either don't know or don't care. It was edible but nor for the prices they have. Our bill was over $300

My son got extremely ill after eating here almost ruined our vacation. Not sure if it was cross contamination or poor quality food. Fish had a strong odor

Server had no knowledge of gf. No dedicated fryer. Menu options are disappointing for a celiac. Definitely a waste of gas coming to this place

They don't have a gluten free fryer they dont have gluten free pasta. Everything i have read has been contradicted during this visit. Very disappointed in the quality of the food as well as the gluten free options. Service was ok but not worth the $$$ they charge.

I'm very confused with these reviews. Something must have changed because they barely acknowledged our gf table. We got the impression we where a inconvenience to them. Very uncomfortable dining atmosphere. Food was not good. The rice may have been gluten free but it was dry tasted like it was days old. All and all not worth the money charge. We will not be back for a long time. Hope they get their act together

My wife immediately pointed out inconsistencies on their make shift gf menu. Server was rude. Staff was vaping in the kitchen. They served bread in her salad for God sakes

Been reading a lot about this place it seemed to be a hit or miss. For us it was a miss. The pork chop was covered in teriyaki which we later found out is not gf. This place is a discombobulated mess.

The servers had no gluten training what so ever. Every time I asked they had to run and find put which took forever. No gluten free children's stuff no gluten free fried foods. They brought bread on the salad. The topper is everyone got sick from the food not just the the celiac. We think it was bad shrimp. Don't risk it.

I ordered a pork chop with rice and veggies and it was delish. I asked for potatoes but I was told those are not gluten free.the staff was great and friendly I will be back!

I'm not sure they know what gluten free is. This place ruined our vacation. My wife got sick 30 minutes after eating here. Ended up having to go to the hospital and now we are headed home 3 days early. Be safe everyone

The chef has left this restaurant due to poor ownership. He was the only one certified in dietary needs especially celiac. Please be careful don't ruin your trip by getting sick. Double check and triple check everything they send you

I was disappointed in this restaurant after reading some good reviews. My husband and I got there when they opened at 4:00 and the room they seated us in was at least 85 degrees. I told the waiter twice I had celiac and he brought a salad with a slice of bread on top. He was about to just remove the slice of bread when I told him I needed a new salad without crumbs of bread in it. My chicken Parmesan had no flavor and my husbands filet was average at best. The food is very overpriced for the quality. We won’t be eating there again.

I have celiac and told my server. Even though the menu said gf she went a double checked to make sure everything was safe. It was so awesome! The chefs wife has celiac so they want diners to feel comfortable. Just make sure to let them know about your allergy. GF can mean gluten free or gluten friendly so your server can help you figure that out!

We emphasized we needed a gluten free meal and we were brought pasta that was not gluten free. The person who brought the food assured us it was gluten free but upon asking again because we were skeptical, the waited confirmed that it was indeed not and was a mistake. If we had not been aware there could have been a major health issue. We were offered no refund for the replacement meal that came 20 mins later. This place was a genuine mess overall. Maybe safe for celiac if very careful and ask everyone to ensure gluten free. Not a relaxing gluten free experience.

As a mom of a child with celiac and a celiac myself, I have never been so happy than what I was with Hurricane Collinz! Not only is the food prepared safely but it is so good! My husband who is not celiac thought it was exceptional! The chef came and spoke with us about how the food was prepared. I definitely feel safe eating here! I wish more places were like this!

My family and I just had the best experience at Hurricane Colinz! They immediately recognized my Celiac disease and treated me so extremely well. The owner came down to welcome us and talked to us about their progress toward making their menu mostly gluten free! 10/10 recommend!

Soooo good! The chef came out and said his wife has celiac so he’s very aware of what’s going on. Our waitress was awesome too. Definitely felt safe eating here and will come back!

Our family visited Hurricane's on 5/30/23. We were greeted with a friendly host and when ask about Gluten Free the chef came out to talk. I had Ahi Tuna that was fabulous. GREAT EXPERIENCE We had 9 in our party, the staff was attentive and kind to our seven girls.

I had the most amazing experience. Food was exceptional and customer service not only from the chef but the staff was the best I’ve ever had. I don’t think I’ve ever felt safer eating out anywhere than I have here. 12/10 recommend and I will definitely be back.

Went there last night. The menu had the GF symbol and chief Jason came out and talked to me. His wife has celiac, so he is well informed and takes precautions. They have a dedicated fryer for the chips. The happy hour had a lot of options. Food was very good and I had no issues today. I will definitely be going back. The bartenders were both great.

They are working on updating the menu to include all of the GF options. In the mean time, the chef will come and walk you through the menu and what is safe. I ended up getting a steak since that was what I was in the mood for. Was great and lots of flavor. Hubs had the chicken parm (not GF) and said it was amazing.

First visit to Hurricane Colinz in Cherry Grove-NMB & it won't be my last! It's off season here at the beach so there were just a few patrons, one who told us he always eats there when he comes into town bc its so good. We decided to sit at the bar for dinner & cocktails. The bar top is a work of art! Owner Colin's mother is an interior designer and her professional touch was evident. Pleasantly greeted by a very upbeat, friendly server, Dawn, who whipped up a special peppermint holiday cocktail. Off to a great start & kept getting better! Fresh Corn chips and salsa were brought out to snack on. When ordering the filet mignon I inquired about gluten items in the entree. Dawn was very aware of the allergy and asked head chef Jason to come speak with me bc his wife is celiac. So he is so very knowledgable! Funny thing was he was in the process of creating a full GF menu, with a dedicate fryer! Yay! It kept getting better when our food arrived. My filet was cooked to a perfect medium rare+ temperature with a nicely seasoned crust. Great smashed potatoes, too! My friend had the Mahi entree and was very pleased, also! Everything was so fresh & flavorful! My final review was of the bathroom (lol), of course. Not only was it spacious with classy decor, it was meticulous! That sealed the deal and Hurricane Colinz has become one of my favorite local restaurants! Moderately priced. Happy Hour 4-6. *Call ahead bc they're closing for renovations sometime this winter (2023) ** A must try!
