I got the Caribbean Glazed Mahi-Mahi with a side of steamed broccoli. It was tender and tasty. I’m a really sensitive celiac and did not get sick; neither did my friend who got the shrimp dinner. We will definitely eat there again!
Update: I have eaten at Iguanas multiple times now and haven’t felt ill yet. They have told the kitchen I have an allergy every time, and told me they change their gloves, keep my plate away from all the others, and carry my food out separately from the other dishes.
I got the bacon wrapped shrimp, and it might be my favorite indulgence yet. The food isn’t anything fancy, but it isn’t over or under cooked. Half of my non-celiac friends don’t want to eat there. They say it is bland, and there are a lot tastier options on the island. Personally, I appreciate knowing Iguanas won’t make me sick, but I would describe the food as mediocre.
(They also have a free ice cream bar for after your meal if you can have dairy. If you can’t have dairy, the options at Iguanas are limited.)
