Dedicated gluten-free bakery makes everything from sandwiches to shepherd's pie. It can be a bit hard to find, but don't give up, it's worth the hunt. Great place to drop in for a sandwich. If you don't have time to cook, you can pick up dinner to take home. We love their sandwich bread. Vegetarian and dairy-free options are available. We weren't so impressed with the bagels and cinnamon rolls (I'm hoping they'll improve with feedback).

Expensive but very good. Portions large! Split a sandwich and a cupcake with my daughter. Wished I'd eaten the cinnamon roll while it was hot out of the oven.

Brilliant gluten free food from a dedicated facility. I'm a very sensitive celiac, visiting Santa Cruz, and was eager to try this place. Just did takeaway lunch with my boo: he had the pastrami sandwich and I the pizza with sausage, mushroom and artichoke. Outstanding sandwich--excellent light bread, great pastrami, and the sauerkraut was perfect. The pizza--excellent thin crust with the right amount of crunch, super good marinara, and great combination of toppings. Great portions for the flavour, quality and price. It took a little wait, but totally worth it as everything was being put together there. If you don't want to wait, call ahead and pick up. Also got cupcakes to go. $6 each, but they're big. Will post on those later. Closed on Mondays, so limited selection on Tuesdays.

Fantastic! The Reuben was so good I had it two days in a row on my vacation to Santa Cruz. The cupcakes are also amazing!

Used the app to find lunch ideas while visiting family in Santa Cruz. Was surprised to see In The Breadbox so close by. I was intrigued by the previous reviewer who raved about the chicken pot pie. I called and talked to Jenn, the owner. She offered to save me a pie and even heat it. Yum'. Yum! Even the non-GF folks couldn't tell it was GF and loved it. Great flaky crust! Great service! Will definitely be back!
